AAAAAHHHH, it’s finally here! If you are reading this post, it means that my new website it officially LAUNCHED! New look, new branding, new blog … lots of hard work! But oh, so, so worth it : )

When I first started Maison Meredith Photography, I really hard no idea what I was doing or what to expect (+ to be honest, some days I still feel the same! Ha!) .But over the course of this past year, I have fallen in love with love. Specifically, capturing it from behind my camera + sharing it with both the couple as well as the rest of the world through the images I produce. It’s just so amazing, SO COOL, how photographs can truly help us relive past moments that much more clearly .. as we look at them, remember those moments in which they were taken, how we were feeling … sweet, sweet stuff : )

More specifically, I have come to love weddings. Because not only do I get to capture the sweet love shared between the bride + the groom, but I also get to capture all the details of their day that they have worked so hard on–from centerpieces to seating charts to welcome signs : ) But above all else, we are capturing the beginning of the rest of their lives together. Because, well, at the end of the day, the food will be eaten, the music will stop, the flowers will die, but their photographs? THEY are what will last them a lifetime. Photographs of those details, of their guests there to celebrate them, the unmatched joy + ecstasy the couple experiences as they are surrounded by friends + family, the crazy dancers, the stolen kisses … it’s just so special. 

So this tangent brings me to the new website + branding. I thought it was time create a space that fit this vision + newfound love of mine. And, well, here we are : ) I think it’s just perfect. Crisp, clean, timeless, fresh. Big, beautiful, bold photographs. Love, laughter, authenticity. My heart is so full. A huge shout-out to my wonderful + selfless fiancé Caleb for all his help in creating this site–whether it was deciding the perfect wording, where a photo should go, or simply giving words of encouragement in this process … I love you!! Also, a very big shout out to Maxwell Lesatz for creating my new logo which is just spectacular! You rock. And finally, last but not least, shout out to all those who are in the photographs scattered throughout this site–it is because of YOU that this is possible. Truly, thank you, for your love, sweet words, trust in me + simply, being you in front of the camera : ) I adore you.

Now, on to the post that couldn’t be a better start for this new beginning … THE BEGINNING. The following pictures are from the FIRST SESSION I ever did–Fall of 2011. An engagement session at the Univeristy of Wisconsin-Madison Arboretum with Spencer + Jamie.

And following, images from our recent Love Session together–Spencer + Jamie again, 2 years later, celebrating 1.5 years of marriage + Maison Meredith Photography : )  My hope is that this post will inspire others to seriously follow their passions. If you love something, pursue it. Really. It may not be easy, but it will be worth it!! If you need encouragement, contact me! Because I want to tell you that you can. You can!! You can do it.
