C.L. Manion | Writer Headshots | Madison, WI Photographer.

March 27, 2014

Today’s post is … simply put, lovely. The images of Clare, that is. Because herein lies the issue at hand, I am writing about a writer … !!! (Let’s all remember I am a photographer–not a writer!!) BUT, while we’re on the subject, if you do want to find some good writing, I highly suggest taking a peek at Clare’s blog. She is eloquent, intelligent + authentic–just a few of the things I have gathered from both her work and the short amount of time I spent with her : )

Caleb + I met Clare in a cool + funky neighborhood in downtown Madison where we proceeded to do the entire shoot outside. This wasn’t the original plan (because March in Wisconsin isn’t always the warmest), but everyone accommodated really quickly + it ended up being just perfect. I have to applaud Clare for her fierceness in the cold — despite the fact that I KNOW she was freezing, you can’t even tell in her photographs! While soft-spoken + humble in front of the camera, this lady is a natural. Her “model face” is to die for!!

I hope to see one of these images on the back of a book someday … or even better, somewhere in Hollywood where she is busy screenwriting masterpieces! Enjoy the shots from our time together + be sure to check out + follow her work!! -M

“C.L. Manion is a writer living in Madison, Wisconsin. Currently, she’s working on several screenplays, and will start pitching them to studios this summer. Manion also writes a wide variety of short stories and the occasional poetry, which can be found on her blog http://clmanion.wordpress.com.”
