Anna has been a good friend since my freshman year of college. In fact, she really plays a significant part in my story. Six (or so) years ago, Anna knocked on my dorm room door + invited me to be a part of the Bible Study she was leading. I recognized her because we both danced in high school + she was the point dancer for her team–a very good team–so I had seen her at many competitions. Looking back, it’s so cool how God used her to draw me to Himself via that Bible Study, friendships + community that came out of being involved in Cru, etc. Even more, Anna + her husband Dave were also in Turkey with me last year! Needless to say, we have lots of memories together : )

When we were in Turkey, Dave + Anna were talking about starting a family when they got back to the States, so hearing Anna was pregnant was no surprise : ) I cannot believe how fast time has flown though–she is due in the middle of May!! Crazy! I am so excited to meet baby Owen : )

I decided to take some pics for Anna while at her baby shower so that she could remember this sweet time! You will also notice that I took some shots of Owen’s nursery because it is just so darn cute!! I had a blast getting to know some of Anna’s friends from their new home in the Twin Cities; we shared stories, wrote notes of encouragement to Anna, prayed for her + baby Owen, + opened lots of presents : ) Enjoy the images to follow … sit back for a moment + relax … it’s almost Friday!! ; ) -M
