Ooooohh  I am so excited to be sharing a little sneak peek from last Saturday’s styled session here in Madison. The idea behind the session was to inspire brides to think outside the box when it comes to planning their wedding + to know that ANYTHING is possible when it comes to the ideas + dreams of your day. For example, a desert themed wedding in Midwestern Wisconsin : )

I was first inspired by the idea of styling a desert themed shoot on my way to church several months ago … when there still wasn’t snow on the ground! On my way to church, I drive by this vast expanse of land that is all gravel, dirt, super cool rocks + some random tumbleweed-looking-plants. “That totally reminds me of the desert!!” I told Caleb. “It would be cool to do a shoot there sometime!” Well, that idea turned into a dream of planning a styled session–a mock DESERT elopement to be exact–that would show brides that no matter where they live, they can achieve the look they desire for their wedding day!!

Personally, I love the feel of the desert (+ sometimes wished I lived there as a photographer!!), so being able to plan an elopement with this theme was a BLAST. I’m so incredibly thankful for the amazing vendors (+ our model couple) who donated their time, talents + resources to make this shoot possible! For now, you will just be getting a sneak peek of the project, but stay tuned in the upcoming months for the full post : ) On that note, have an AMAZING weekend!!
