Community: fellowship with others, as a result of sharing common attitudes, interests, and goals. Nick + Meghan’s wedding was centered around community … such beautiful, authentic, Christ-centered, loving community. I was blown away by their family + friends who all gathered to not only celebrate the marriage of Nick + Meghan but to help them make the day the beautiful gathering it was!! From a roommate who made ALL the desserts, to a mom + friend who put together the gorgeous flower arrangements–the acts of service + expressions of love poured out made Nick + Meghan’s day about FAR more than just their love for one another; it was about a community’s love for each other. What a blessing + privilege to be a part of this most joyous occasion!!!
The newlyweds got married at their home church–Faith Community Church–in Waupaca, WI (yes, another set of high schools sweethearts!!!). 300 guests gathered to watch them commit themselves to one another forever + always while close friends played + sang as the congregation worshipped, smiled, + cried many happy tears. Nick + Meghan said “I do” amidst a roar of clapping + cheering : ) I remember standing at the back of the church during the ceremony, just taking in the moment + watching the celebration + thinking HOW AMAZING + incredible it was to feel the support their guests had for their marriage + again, the love so uniquely + deeply shared between those in attendance. It was a feeling I really am struggling to put into words–but one I will surely not forget. The reception followed at Willow Pond Bed + Breakfast, a beautiful property just outside of Waupaca where guests mingled, ate, drank + danced the night away under the golden yellow globe lights + tall barn wood ceilings : )
I am so thankful to call this couple not just incredible clients but friends. I have no doubt that their marriage is one that will only continue to deepen in love + forever grow in friendship. That it will impact the WORLD for the better + that through Nick + Meghan, God will be glorified + made known. To decades, on decades, on decades of love … -M
Can you believe these bouquets were not professionally made?! Deb, Meghan’s mom, + her friend, Natalie, did an INCREDIBLE job!!
Two guys + one chair = getting Jake’s tie on!! ; )
Love this shot Caleb got of Nick!!
These moments <3
An emotional prayer before the ceremony : )
I think I might have said something hilarious–some might call it inappropriate–here!! Haha!!
Caleb’s angle–LOVE it!!
Check out this bridal party!!
Such good colors!! And lighting!!
YES : )
Someone was having a little bit of trouble with the serious face ; )
Above + below are some of my favorite groomsmen shots to date!!
Meghan’s dad’s grandpa started his own catering company many years ago that Meghan’s dad + all his siblings worked at growing up. The cups below + all the dishes at the reception were from his company!!
Meghan also gave us two of these coffee cups as a gift–sharing with us in a handwritten note the foundations on which her grandfather built his small business. Knowing we have created MMP with the same foundation–to LOVE people + glorify Christ–it was her hope that these cups would remind us of our purpose whenever we use them : ) Amazing, right?? : )
I had never seen this before!! Such a fun idea!!
I love that we caught Meghan’s parents sneaking away before sunset : ) These two are an AMAZING example of a Christ-centered marriage!! Plus, how good-looking are they?!
Willow Pond was a perfect venue for all of our bride + groom portraits!!
So much joy!!! In all these images!! : )
SO romantic ; )
And then there were the sweets … oh, the sweets!!! ALL made by Meghan’s roommate–who I was told baked for 3 days straight!!
How bad do you want to eat that cheesecake on the right!?
She even made this AMAZING cake!!
… and they lived happily ever after : )
