Today’s post is pretty unique + very, very special : ) Meet Chad + Amber Langhoff–the artists, photographers, owners, + creative minds behind Langhoff Creative. I first met these two (well, kind of met–it was on the phone!!) when I was preparing for the time I spent overseas in Turkey right after I graduated from UW-Madison. I was connected to the Langhoffs through one of my friends in college who knew Chad + Amber from her hometown church. They ended up partnering with me both prayerfully + financially while I was in Turkey + thus began our friendship : ) Little did I know where it would go!!

When I got back from Turkey I decided (with God’s leading, obviously!!) to start the photography business. Pretty much immediately after I publicly made this announcement, Amber reached out to me “welcoming” me to the photography industry + reminding me that I had a friend, + now colleague, in her. Someone I could totally, completely relate to. What a “coincidence” ; ) 

When I celebrated my first official year of business, I got another email from Amber telling me about this event called the CONNECT Retreat for Christian couples who are in the photography business together in some way, shape, or form. She really, really urged Caleb + I to think + pray about going to CONNECT this past year as it was extremely pivotal in her + Chad’s business + marriage. Well, though we were/are only engaged, we ended up going to CONNECT!! (You can read more about our decision to go to CONNECT here + our time at CONNECT here). We road-tripped to Georgia with the Langhoffs + as you can imagine, this is where our “couple friendship” really began : ) –It’s bound to happen when you share hours together in a small car + hotel room, right?!

What really happened was we fell in love with the Langhoffs. 

We learned about how selfless, eternally focused, + vulnerable their hearts are. We learned how WELL they love people. We learned that Amber loves to talk, Chad cracks hilarious one-liners, + together, they are one of the most dynamic duos you will ever meet. This couple has single-handley inspired Caleb + I to seek Christ with not only our business but also our personal lives more than any other couple we have met. We definitely look up to them in more ways than they may know, + we are forever grateful for the things they have taught us by simply being themselves around us. Their marriage, business philosophies, + hearts for the Lord are what we desire for our lives. Thank you, Jesus, for placing them in our lives–even if just for a short while. 

Because, well, the Langhoffs are moving!!! I could write about their upcoming adventures myself, but Amber certainly does a much better job in her post here about their decision to move, where they’re moving, + what lies ahead for Langhoff Creative!! Our end just includes photographing them for their new branding for their business!! (Yes, there are definitely a lot of nerves–at least for me!!–when it comes to photographing a PHOTOGRAPHER!!) But we were absolutely honored to be given such a privilege : ) Plus, looking through + editing their photos made my heart so, so happy : ) 

Chamber (yes, the blending of names is intentional), you are loved. We are SO excited for all that this new change has in store for you–all that GOD has in store for you!! Thank you for impacting our lives for eternity. So, so much love–M + C
