The senior on the blog today … she is fierce. And she is strong. And she is so lovable. Meet Miss Kaitey Colby : )

She would describe herself as strong-willed, straightforward, + passionate. And would also tell you that the relationships in her life are deep + true + by far the most important thing to her. She is authentic + honest + beautiful. Kaitey–it was such a great, great joy for me to meet + work with you : ) Your down-to-earth, peaceful, + genuine personality was refreshing + inspiring. Thank you for that : )

This session was very special for one more reason that cannot go unspoken. Last October, one of Kaitey’s very best friends took her own life. A tragedy that has brought many family + friends together to raise awareness on the importance of suicide prevention. Kaitey, her friend Brette, + their friend who passed had always planned to get their senior pictures taken together, + Kaitey + Brette wouldn’t have it any other way than just that. We met at the friend’s Memorial Bench + the three girls still had their pictures taken together : ) An unforgettable memory + an honor to be a part of.

With that being said, may Kaitey’s photos bring you joy + life + hope, today! This young woman is full of life … dreams to achieve, lives to change, + trials to overcome. Aren’t we all in the same boat though? We’re in this thing called life together. Let’s choose to make it the best life it can be. Have a wonderful, wonderful Monday 🙂 -M
