I promised I would never do something like this, but today I find myself in a place where the following post can no longer be put off. A letter to my husband–to recognize + thank him for all that he does for this business + for me.
To Caleb,
I can only image how mindless some of the tasks that you take on must seem sometimes–ordering prints, retouching photos, vacuuming + laundry, trips to the post office–but, my love, I cannot thank you enough for them.
Yes, these things save me tons of time when there are galleries on galleries to edit + an inbox full of emails to answer, so for this time to have back, I am thankful.
Yes, these tasks you accomplish allow me to get more done in a day that I was ever previously able + for this productivity, I am also grateful.
Yes, these things you do allow me to invest more time in connecting with, emailing, + chatting on the phone with our beloved clients, + for these relationships I’m forming, I am oh, SO thankful!!
But, Caleb, more than all these things that you give to me when you put in another print order, is your love. Because without hesitation, with great joy + a servant-like heart, you do these things for me–for us. You have made me feel more loved + cherished + cared for in your gallery uploads + grocery store runs than you could ever know. Without (Jesus) + you, I would never e able to do the things I am doing. This business would not be the growing dream it has + is becoming. So thank you. Nothing you do goes unnoticed. And I have a LOT to learn from you. I love you today more than ever : )
