“Hi Maison! First off, I would just like to tell you that I think you are an amazingly talented photographer! I have been anxiously waiting to contact you about shooting engagement + wedding photos for my fiancé & I since we got engaged last March!!” … she wrote to me in her first email : ) And the excitement never stopped!! Tara is one of those brides who makes you extra thankful to be doing what you’re doing!! She is SO encouraging, joyful, + genuinely excited about the photos leading up to + on her wedding day : ) I have had so much fun getting to know her over the past several months!!

Finally getting to meet her + Patrick in person was everything I hoped it would be : ) They giggled, flirted, + kissed + nuzzled like pros!! Tara looked AMAZING in her ruby red dress + those long brown curls–they are to die for!! We started the session in the city + finished in a field on the outskirts of Madison, which was the perfect way to end the session + capture the fall colors everyone is loving right now!! After the session, we were SO lucky to get to go see Dan + Shay in concert with these two (country lovers unite!!) hehe : ) and it was a blast : )!!! I know I’ve already said it, but I’ll say it again!! Patrick + Tara, it’s couples like you who make us feel SO LUCKY to be doing what we’re doing!! Yes, lucky to take your pictures + document this sweet season of life, but ALSO to connect deeper, get to know you + spend time with you—that makes it 1,000,000 times better!!
