Phoenix, AZ | Personal Post | We need your help!!

November 25, 2014

I’m not sure exactly where you’re reading this post from today, however from where I’m currently sitting, snow is falling from the sky like there’s no tomorrow. Ooofta. I am NOT a fan of winter!!! However, the onset of this cold Wisconsin weather is getting me more + more excited for our next big adventure!! We are heading to Phoenix, Arizona at the end of December to shoot our final wedding of the 2014 season–and we couldn’t be more excited!! I mean, what better way to end such an incredible year?!? We are the luckiest : )

Neither Caleb nor I have ever been to Phoenix, or Arizona for that matter, so we need your help!!! We are looking for any + all recommendations, tips, sights to see, restaurants, advice–anything!!!–when it comes to this area of the country!! We will be visiting from December 25th-30th!! If you’ve ever been before (or are currently living in Phoenix), please send your ideas + suggestions our way!! Just comment at the bottom of this post + we will be sure to read them through!! AND, if you know of someone who would be interested in doing a shoot while we are there, please let us know!! We are SO excited to be photographing in a totally new environment!!! YAY for sun + cacti!! Hehe : )

Ooooh, I am getting SO excited for our little trip! Just one month until we take off!! What is something you are looking forward to in the upcoming month?! Focus on that + let’s make this Tuesday a happy one : ) xoxo! -M

A girl I work with vacations there with her family all the time. She says Camel Back Mountain is MUST. And if you want to do a little bit of shopping, Fashion Square. Have fun! Jealous that you get a bit of sun and warmth during this chilly season.

Go to "The Mission" in Scottsdale and "Beckett’s Table" in Phoenix. They are both AMAZING restaurants! Camel back mountain is good for hiking… A little crowded because it is a really well known hike, but it’s beautiful!

Hi! Found you and your beautiful pictures on IG 🙂
Be sure to visit the Desert Botanical Gardens as well! You’ll get to see all the pretty desert features in one place! It’s a beautiful park, and also a popular photo session location 🙂 now that it’s winter, they’re also doing luminarias at night. As for restaurants, any of the Upward Projects restaurants never fail! Pomo Pizzeria downtown is delicious as well, and for gourmet Mexican food, try Barrio Cafe. The "Hole in the Rock" at Papago Park (red rocks next to Botanical Garden) is a nice spot to watch the killer colors of the sunset/rise! Have a great trip!
Love your work! Maybe if you like Phoenix you can come back and I’ll snag you for a shoot!
