It’s that time of the year … Christmas decorations EVERYWHERE!! Store windows, street lamps, park trees, malls, businesses, etc.!! I LOVE this time of the year!! I mean, c’mon, how much more JOYFUL do you feel driving through your neighborhood when it’s filled with tons of twinkling lights vs. other times of the year?!? It’s such a fun season + I truly enjoy seeing all the different ways people decorate for the holidays!!

Our current apartment is super small, so decorating for Christmas has to be kept to a minimum this year! However, today I thought I would share some ways in which we have decorated our small space AS WELL AS how we used some of our wedding decorations in the process!! A fun, light-hearted post for your Friday enjoyment as we are officially less than two weeks until Christmas!!! Crazy!!

It all began when we found out our apartment “neighborhood” was having a light decorating contest!! Who can decorate their patio space the best?! We got out the lights from our wedding reception tent + used them to brighten our space!! Of course, our little helper was always nearby!! 

Left: I love, love, loooovve my Fleurs calendar from Rifle Paper Co., + the month of December is the perfect (+ EASY) Christmas decoration!!

Right: This gigantic (+ VERY yummy smelling) candle was 50% off at Hobby Lobby!! The cherry wreath I put around it was also half off at HL!

For this corner of the room, I used leftover gold fake flowers/twigs from the wedding in this vase from Pier 1 Imports, along with a votive, candle holder + candlestick leftover from the wedding (all from thrift stores!)

For this table centerpiece, I used these gold serving trays (TJ Maxx) as candle holders + stuck some pine tree pieces in for a touch of greenery!!

Below Right: A t-i-n-y Charlie brown tree for the corner of our living room adorned with all my childhood ornaments!! Each year growing up my mom would take us to the local gift store on Main Street where my sister + I would run to the back of the shop where all the Christmas ornaments were hanging on the wall. We got to choose a Christmas ornament for the tree that year + now, as adults, we have these ornaments (+ the memories) to hang on our tree!!
