It’s our last engagement session of 2014!! I can hardly believe it (I think I’ve said this before) but, wow, this year has flown by!! Such a whirlwind of a year–ups, downs, BIG changes, amazing clients–I can only imagine what 2015 has in store for us!! One of it’s blessings will surely be the wedding of the incredible couple on the blog today, Chris + Rebekah : )
Believe it or not, these two met all because of Chris’s mom. Yep. I know an explanation is now in order!! Chris’s family + Rebekah’s friend both have cabins on the same lake. A couple of years ago, for New Years Eve, Rebekah was with friends at this said cabin + the girls decided to go out for the holiday! While at a local bar, Rebekah asked a woman sitting nearby to take a picture of the group of girls–the woman was Chris’s mom : ) After thanking her for taking the photo, the two ladies ended up chatting the night away + Chris’s mom asked Rebekah if she was single!!! She was, + so Chris’s mom gave him Rebekah’s phone number + told him he just HAD to give this girl a call. Well, it only took him a YEAR to do so, but he finally called Rebekah + asked her out on a date!! You can guess the rest : )
Chris + Rebekah live in Minneapolis with their rescued greyhound, Winston (who we WILL meet someday!! Greyhounds are Caleb’s favorite!!), so we met these two in a part of the city I had never been before!! It was a dreary afternoon–but no rain!!–and our session on the city’s iconic Stone Arch Bridge was just perfect : ) C+R have impeccable style, + let me tell you, I simply cannot wait to photograph their “sophisticated, playful, Kate-Spade-inspired” wedding day this coming March!! Until then, enjoy some of my favorites from their session!! xo! -M
