I have not a single doubt that today’s blog post will make your heart just a little bit happier : ) Jordan + Kat are full, + I mean FULL, of joy, life, + laughter. Plus, their smiles not only light up a room, but an entire downtown Chicago city block (if you ask me!!)! I met these two in Old Town Chicago, where they live (+ I happen to love), so right off the bat I knew it was going to be a good day!! We chatted as we walked to Lincoln Park nearby to get some shots at Jordan’s favorite view of the city!! These two immediately made me feel so comfortable + simply downright ecstatic about spending the afternoon with them as we laughed, joked about Jordan + Caleb’s obsession with all things Sperry, Ray-Ban, + Patagonia, + soaked up the sun–that’s right, the SUN! Despite being January 18th, we were experiencing a heatwave here in the Midwest with temperatures reaching 40 degrees!! (When you plan a January engagement session months in advance, you just pray that it will at least be above zero!!) We were all just over the moon : )

The moment we started shooting, I knew it was going to be an easy day. These two were ALL laughs + so giddy about being “forced” to snuggle up + love on each other, as I like to call it : ) From Lincoln Park, Jordan + Kat made a quick (+ impressive!!) outfit change + we grabbed a cab to downtown. I seriously love shooting in the city, so my photographer heart was bursting with happiness!! J+K looked AMAZING + we continued shooting as the cars + trains whizzed by. It was … perfect : )
