The Best Wedding of 2014 | Personal Post | Ours! (Hehe).

January 26, 2015

I think it’s about time I finally do a blog post showcasing my favorite images from OUR wedding–can I get an amen!? Every time I go back through these images I get emotional … it’s true I’m a sap!! … but Molly Jo Collection did such a great job with them + reliving the emotions I felt + experienced on that day is truly invaluable (thank you sweet Molly!!!!)

We always get asked “So, how WAS the wedding?!”–and I can’t help but answer, perfect. Truly, the day was more beautiful than I could have ever possibly planned or imagined. Everything went off “without a hitch” as they say + at the end of it all, I am married to my best friend. There are so many people I can never thank enough for all the hard work + support they put in on (AND leading up to!!) our day : )

I am SO EXCITED to share the story of our day with you in the following images!! So thanks for stopping by : )

My gown was custom made by the incredibly talented Monica Freng of Monirose-Bespoke Gowns! If you missed my previous post on the process of bringing this dress to life, you can view it here!!

Our bridesmaids wore all different styles of sparkly/sequin gold dresses except for my sister, McKenna, who was the Maid of Honor + wore grey!

The girls put together a scrapbook for me + gave it to me the morning of the wedding!! It was the sweetest thing + now one of my most prized possessions–intimate, personal letters + memories captured in pictures from the most precious women in my life <3

Time to get in the dress!! (It really took this many people!!)

I love this one of my mom : ) … she is a sap, just like me!!

Then it was time to see my dad <3

The brooches on the right were my “something old”–one from each of my grandmothers!

Our flowers done by Amanda Frankewicz of Alluring Blooms were out of this world–just STUNNING!!!

The cuff links (on the shoe on the left) are from Caleb’s mom’s metals from the National Rifle Association. On the right is a patch Caleb had sewn into his jacket from one of our most memorable dates a couple of summers ago to a music festival (a man who does fancy stitching with a sewing machine + a bike stitched our silhouettes with the shape of a heart in the middle!! Little did he know at the time we would one day be getting married!!)

Oh those handsome Engel boys!!!

Don’t ask how long (+ how many girls) it took to tie all those ribbons!! You know who you are–THANK YOU!!!

Fans with song lyrics on the back for each guest!!

My grandpa + dad built this cross for our ceremony : )

Our AMAZING musicians prepping for the ceremony : ) We are so thankful for these two + their incredible gifts!!

I just love this image of one of our ushers, Eric–isn’t he doing such a great job!? Hehe : )

I love this one of my grandpa, too : )

My beautiful momma : )

The best Best Man + Maid of Honor : )

One of my favorite moments of Caleb + his brother : )

MARRIED!!!!!!

First shot as a married couple ; )

Copper wash bin (makeshift water bottle holder!!) from A La Crate Vintage Rentals!

The day would not have gone as planned without this AMAZING woman–thank you, Ali, for your energy, joy, + impeccable organizational skills!!

This head table garland was one of my favorite aspects of the entire reception tent!!

We had a table in the tent filled with pictures + write-ups of our bridal party!! Such a fun way to introduce them to our guests who didn’t know everyone : )

Our guest book was a photo album hand-painted by one of our dear friends (how talented is she?!). Our guests had to take a “selfie” with the available disposable cameras that we would develop later + place next to their signature/note!!

I also wanted to create a more unique way to display our escort cards, so we borrowed this wooden antique piece from some friends + hung handmade tags in alphabetical order for guests to take + be seated!!

My goodness do we love these people!!!

“Photo bomb” by my dad, aunt, + uncle (who hosted the entire affair at their home!!)

Can you believe this spot!? I’m SO thankful we stumbled upon it!! Just magical!!

On the way to our second shooting spot, our videographers got stuck–Caleb to the rescue!!

This next set is my favorite : )

You know we had to : )

And then we ended here … !!! <3

A huge shout out to my mom who MADE ALL our appetizers!!!!

And how about these custom cake toppers from Lovebirds Goods!?!

Ohhhh the speeches ; )

Some of my favorite memories from the day include dancing the night away with all the incredible people in the following photographs : ) : )

Cheers to the Best Wedding of 2014!!!! (and ever!!)
