Ohhhh, Joel + Karla, their story is worth sharing one more time–especially for those who don’t know it!! We feel a special connection with these two because, believe it or not, we were there when their love story first began … last summer at a wedding we shot!! Yes–you heard that right!! Karla was the Maid of Honor + Joel was the Best Man at a wedding we photographed last summer + said wedding was where these two first met. After the wedding, they decided to keep in touch because they had gotten along so well. The catch? Joel was living in Wisconsin + Karla was living in Florida!! Let’s just say, it didn’t take too long for Karla to move back to her home state of Wisconsin for one special Best Man ; )

These two were engaged + now are getting married themselves just one year later!! Ahhhh, it’s like a story from a movie, but it’s TOTALLY real life!! And I LOVE it. Like Karla always tells us, “it’s so serendipitous for you two to be a part of our day–we couldn’t imagine having anyone else!” Amen, sister : ) We are THRILLED, just thrilled to be a part a part of their day + to keep in touch with a couple that is just so gracious, generous, FUN, + kind : ) Only 28 more days until they are husband + wife!!!

I’m absolutely in love with the photos from their session–so dreamy, colorful, + romantic!! (Karla told me that she read our engagement prep blog post + took my advice on having pops of color in your outfits that photograph well … and she nailed it!!) #proudphotographermoment ; )
