Oh, Casey + Katie TAILLIE (!!!), where to even begin with you two!? Your love for one another is one-of-a-kind, once-in-a-lifetime, so deep, so pure, + SO full of joy. Caleb + I are STILL talking about it!!! Witnessing + being a part of love stories like yours is a life-changing experience. It truly is. You two inspire people (us, included) to be more honest, more joyful (no matter what is thrown your way), + more generous (not just with money, but with service, time, + life-giving words). The excitement you two each had individually as you were waiting to see one another was just POURING out from each of you!!! When Caleb + I reconnected before the ceremony after his time with the guys + my time with the girls, the first thing we commented on to one another was how unbelievable + beautiful your joy was. Neither of us had really ever experienced anything like it before.

Father Sternberg spoke of Casey’s character, patience, + selflessness during the mass, + of Katie’s beauty, joy, + love for her soon-to-be husband. The way she lights up when she is with him–when she even just looks at him–it’s impossible not to notice. I overheard two women talking at the reception + one told the other that in her note to the couple in their guest book, she wrote that she hopes they always look at each other the way they did on their wedding day. Amen to that. Yes, we all hope that for you two. Because if WE can experience your love + joy so strongly just by seeing it on the outside, I can only begin to imagine what you both are feeling + giving on the inside. Goodness, I LOVE marriage.

Despite yet another rainy wedding day, Casey + Katie are now husband + wife (which is what it’s all about anyway!!!), I can almost guarantee you that they believe their day was perfect. We are SO, so, soooo happy for you two + beyond-words-excited for you as you begin your life together as husband + wife!!! YAY!!!!
