Alex + Becca’s wedding is the third wedding that we have now photographed for this group of friends + let me tell you something that is truer than true, these people have changed us. They are a group of friends who truly LOVE one another–selflessly, generously, wildly–and they are not afraid to show it. They are quick to give encouragement + praise to one another, unashamed to share their feelings of love + thankfulness, + always ready for a hug, a laugh, or to share a packet of hand-held kleenexes : ) We have been SO blessed by this group of friends + simply uplifted in our business–it is people like these wonderful folks who TRULY make us feel like the luckiest human beings on earth to call ourselves wedding photographers.
The celebration of Alex + Becca’s marriage was a day I cannot + will not forget. It was one of the most beautiful + enjoyable weddings we have EVER attended. A+B thought through every last aspect + detail of their day with utmost attention–nothing was left out that shouldn’t have been, nor added that was unnecessary. It was a perfectly woven creation of love, good food, community, + quirkiness : ) The images in the blog post will best tell the story for you, so I’ll be doing lots of typing in between images : ) Bear with me!!
Alex + Becca–I am truly at a loss for words when it comes to the experience of knowing you + sharing in your journey of marriage together. You are beautiful, GENUINE, honest, + kind, kind, kind souls. Your love is inspiring. Sweet. REAL. The real, real deal. May you forever impact the lives of those around you as you already have so greatly. Your love for each other, the world, + the people in it will CHANGE everyone you encounter. One person, one day at a time. Thank you for being you–we LOVE you!!!

The prettiest details brought to life by both Becca + the talented ladies of Elevate Events!!
The CUTEST flowers girls + ring bearer!!!! : )
Alex + Becca had a beautiful celebration of their parents during the ceremony : )
Towards the end of their ceremony, Alex + Becca took time to do a special drawing of one another, called a “Blind Contour.” While sketching the face of their new spouse, they could not look at the paper on which they were drawing!!
SO happy to be MARRIED!!!!!
How adorable is their vintage library theme!? SO many details!!
For dessert, Alex + Becca had (AMAZING) pie sliders catered from The Hubbard Avenue Diner, where their love story all began : )
After dinner, Alex + Becca’s bridal party surprised them with a HUGE chalk art street sign (on a very busy road in downtown Madison, mind you! That’s love + dedication)!!!
As soon as we returned from sunset portraits, guests began an open mic time for Alex + Becca where they sang + played songs dedicated to the couple + their new life together!!! SO many talented artists!! It was a blast!!!
At the end of the open mic, Becca surprised Alex with a song that she had been practicing for the past six months on the little blue ukulele he gave her for Christmas. While he would work night shifts, she would learn the chords + lyrics to “You Are the Best Thing” by Ray LaMontagne. She faced her fears + so sweetly sang her heart to him that night before their closest friends + family. What a testament to her love for him!!!
