Thank goodness for good friends, right?! Especially ones who introduce you to the love of your life : )!!! Josh + Allie met through a mutual friend four years ago + today find themselves all giddy-in-love + preparing to get married next August!! Two country souls who love the outdoors, cowboy boots, plaid shirts, + being on the water : ) How fitting for Josh to propose to Allie last May while fishing together at sunset!?! And of course, a necessity to include this aspect of their relationship in their engagement session! I never thought I would say this, but I absolutely LOVE their photos with their fishing poles + all!! They are just so adorable : ) 

We met these two at The Blue Heron Sanctuary in Saukville, Wisconsin – a brand new location that neither Caleb nor I had ever been to before!! And oh my goodness, it was gorgeous!! It is basically just a big piece of land set aside for Wisconsin wildlife to grow + live in untouched, uninhabited area!! We had the whole place to ourselves, complete with a stunning sunset to boot! It was such a great evening : )

Josh + Allie together are a non-stop bundle of joy, laughter, energy, + playfulness : ) I’m thinking that you will quickly be able to tell this from their images!! SO many (beautiful) smiles – even Josh who isn’t the “smiley” type ; ) hehe!! Also, you’re not going to believe me, but this is the second groom this year whose engagement photos we have taken ON his BIRTHDAY!!! I love it!! I think this needs to become a tradition for our couples ; ) I promise that the guys always walk away thinking it was a good way to celebrate!! Enjoy some of our favorites from their session!
