Troy + Katie | Married | A Romantic Marsala Wedding at The Monona Terrace in Madison, Wisconsin.

Most brides would be at least a little bit stressed that the entire morning leading up to their wedding was down pouring rain. Not Katie. This stunning bride was radiating joy + excitement from the moment we first saw her last Saturday morning. She told me she could care less that it was raining + that she was just so excited her day was finally here : ) Such beautiful perspective! I wish that I could say I was thinking the same thing when it rained the entire morning of our wedding day ; ) ha! The rain ended up completely stopping by the time we went outside for pictures anyway, so I think all that positivity paid off!! Katie thinks it was because she bought a bunch of umbrellas for the rain so of course it wouldn’t rain when we actually needed them! Either way, we were all happy for the clearing (+ we used the adorable umbrellas anyway)! : )

Troy + Katie’s day was filled to the brim with beautiful details that were intentionally thought out + well-executed day of!! I could have photographed all the Marsala touches for days!! The detail-lover in me was in heaven : ) You know you speak the same language as the bride when she tells you, “I just kept thinking about our blog post + how everything would look!” : ) So many of Katie’s bridesmaids kept saying how they were glad they were already married or else they would have wanted to plan their days just like Katie — everything was truly gorgeous! It’s cheesy I know, but I mean it when I say that the most gorgeous thing about the day, however, was the bride herself : ) There is just something about Katie’s smile that is absolutely stunning … her whole face lights up + you can’t help but feel joyful yourself!! The fact that it was her wedding day made that joy + smile shine even that much brighter : )

I’m really excited to share this day with you in this post. I hope you can see the love these two have for one another + feel the joy (I’m saying this word a lot!) that infiltrated the entire day : ) It is the second-to-last wedding of our 2015 season + I am really, really liking the way things are ending around here : ) It truly makes it bittersweet to think about the fact that after next weekend, we won’t have any weddings to shoot for six months!! I’ll just have to go back through days like this one + relive all of the incredible memories we’ve had the absolute privilege of capturing : ) Troy + Katie — we cannot wait to have you two here in Madison for good!!
