The session on the blog today is super short + super sweet : ) Chris + Jennifer currently live in Washington D.C., so trips to Madison are few + far between, + always packed with lots + lots of (productive) wedding planning!! Since they had a fairly short engagement, + since we live in different parts of the country, pulling a “normal” engagement session together just wasn’t going to work! Chris’s sister (who actually introduced these two!), had already taken some engagement photos of them by the time we even met, so we convinced them to hang out with us for just a half hour or so during a busy weekend of planning back here in Madison!

While we usually meet all of our clients on Skype before their first session ever happens, meeting in person is a completely different game and, we believe, absolutely invaluable in our relationship! When our clients get to meet us in person before their wedding day (+ see that we’re totally normal — we are, right?!? — and that getting their picture taken can actually be FUN!), the environment created + photos we can then capture on the wedding day are a night + day of a difference : ) So, despite crazy schedules + timelines, we made it happen + got to photograph these two this past weekend! It was WONDERFUL : )

Chris is the wonderful + kind gentleman I just knew he was (think romantic surprise breakfast-in-bed-and-mimosa proposal), coupled with Jennifer’s smile + poise makes for one beautiful couple!! We cannot WAIT for their Madison Club wedding in just over two months … it’s going to be one amazing day!! For now, here are a few favorites from our time together : ) Enjoy!
