They met in passing on the street. It’s a true story. But when God orchestrates for two people to meet, it’s going to happen however He desires. Just a year + a half ago, Ben + Kari were complete strangers + today, they are joyfully + anxiously awaiting the day when they finally become husband + wife!

From the moment we first met these two online, I knew their love was something special because they, as two separate people, are SO incredibly special. And then you bring them together + it’s really, REALLY special!! Kari is FULL of this deep, real joy that you cannot miss when you meet her. Her presence is truly beautiful + inspiring! She just makes you feel more joy yourself, + she makes you feel loved + known + appreciated. Ben has a quieter spirit but one that is strong + captivating. He is a natural leader + protector, + a lover of the beautiful girl standing next to him. They share an admiration + respect for one another that is sometimes hard to find, + it’s coupled with a love that is gentle but passionate. I’m really trying to use descriptive words to illustrate what it’s like to be around these two, but it’s very hard! All I can really say is that Caleb + I left their session feeling impacted in a very positive way : )

Since the University of Wisconsin-Madison is home to both of their college years, it was a great fit to do Ben + Kari’s engagement session there : ) For a Wisconsin winter day, we couldn’t complain about the weather AND we even had the sun come out for the pictures!! That is the first time in months for us : ) I’m really excited to share Ben + Kari’s pictures today because I just have this feeling they are going to impact viewers the way they impacted us … at least that’s what I hope! Cheers to a lifted spirit + happy heart thanks to these two!!
