If you’ve been following the blog for more than a year, you’ve met our good friends Mike + Meghan via their four year anniversary shoot we shared last spring! If you haven’t, however, I’m so excited to introduce them to you today (but you should still go check out their shoot + read everything they have to say about marriage + each other!).
We first met the Careys during our undergrad at UW, however we really began developing our friendship with them after Caleb + I got married ourselves, + then moved to the west side of Madison (which is also where the Careys live!). Two husbands that have very similar personalities, two wives that have very similar personalities, a shared love of board games, passions for music, + Monday nights in a small group at our church together have created a friendship that we are so, so thankful for. Their ability to make us laugh (a LOT) + walk honestly through life together are just two of the reasons we value these two so much.
A couple of weeks ago, we took a trip to Brookfield with these two to see the band Rend Collective together. It was an amazing show (if you are interested at all in Christian music that is super uplifting with a unique sound, you must check these guys out)! From Ireland, Rend Collective puts on an exciting, FUN, unique, + truly Christ-centered show. With Irish accents to boot!! *Also, I swear people from Ireland are automatically 10x more funny than people from anywhere else in the world!* Anyway, we really cannot recommend them enough!! Today’s post is just a few snapshots of our trip + time at the show. Just another day in our life … : )
On the way, we were told we had to stop for dinner at the famous Kopp’s in Brookfield … so we did!! And it was delicious!! Not pictured … their ridiculously amazing (+ healthy ;)) custard.
Such a great show!!
This is my favorite song by Rend Collective.
