Imagine this: locally brewed beer fresh from the tap (including a CHOCOLATE Lab Porter that is so creamy it’s ridiculous!), fresh butternut squash + roasted carrot corn tortilla tacos with a goat cheese + cilantro crema (amongst other options), a slow motion video booth with ridiculously fun props + instantaneous footage, + more than sixty people who share the same passions + interests as you (in this case, creativity + entrepreneurship) gathered in one space together. Sounds like an amazing time, right?!

Many of you know that Caleb + I lead a movement of creative entrepreneurs here in Madison called The Rising Tide Society. For those of you who haven’t heard of this movement, I will explain it super quickly! The Rising Tide Society is actually a worldwide movement of creative entrepreneurs who gather together once a month in the spirit of “Community Over Competition”. These local gatherings, which take place in each state + several different countries, meet on the second Tuesday of every month; the gatherings are called “Tuesdays Together”. All gatherings are completely free + are held with one goal in mind: to bring creative + small business CEO’s together who desire to encourage one another + grow their businesses together! There is always an educational topic that is the over-arching theme of our group discussion, as one of the Core Values of the group is “Empowerment through Education” : ) We love leading this group here in Madison + feel very blessed + inspired by all of the wonderful creatives we have met right here in our local community!! For this past month’s meeting, we decided to forgo the educational topic + instead celebrate the start of spring together with a purely social, hang-out-type gathering! It was a BLAST : ) We were so happy to see so many faces out gathered together in the spirit of #communityovercompetition — a lot of people brought their spouses which was a really special treat for us! (Can I get an “amen” that spouses of entrepreneurs deserve a special hug or an extra beer from the tap every one in awhile?!) 😛 Thank you to everyone who came out + thank you to our amazing vendors — Wisconsin Brewing Company, El Grito Taqueria + Bust A Move Video Booth for sharing the night with us!!
