It is here — the 2016 Maison Meredith wedding season has officially began!! We couldn’t be more excited to share SO many gorgeous wedding days with you guys over the next six months on the blog!! Get ready for it :)!! We’re kicking it all off today with Chris + Jennifer’s wedding from this past weekend! Hooray!

When you plan your wedding day in April — in Wisconsin — you have to be ready for anything. There could have easily been snow on the ground for Chris + Jennifer’s day + no one would have thought twice about it. But there wasn’t snow — instead, there was sun. LOTS of sun … and temperatures nearing 80 degrees!! We couldn’t believe it! The groomsmen were actually sweating!! (And I’ll take that over freezing cold + snow any day)!! We all kept basking in how glorious of a day it was for these two + how the weather just added to the happiness surrounding such a special day : )!

Chris + Jennifer got married downtown at Our Lady Queen of Peace Church + then had their reception at The Madison Club right on the square! Being the first warm weekend day of the entire year, downtown Madison was absolutely filled with people out walking, lounging on the Capitol lawn, + eating outside the many restaurants lining the Capitol Square. It was such a fun day + atmosphere!! Additionally, The Madison Club is by far one of our favorite venues in the entire city, so we were in wedding-day heaven!! It couldn’t have been a more perfect start to the season : )

To Chris + Jennifer — we knew you guys were wonderful when we first met you on Skype + then again for your engagement session. So kind, honest, + down-to-earth. Sharing your wedding day with you, however, allowed us to see a whole new part of your lives that we didn’t previously know — your friends + family. Wow. Seeing those you love + who love you so dearly all together in one space was truly remarkable. It was an overwhelming sense of closeness … a tight-knit community … so FULL of love, laughter, happiness, + excitement for you. Honestly, we didn’t want to leave. Thanks for allowing us to experience that … it was really something we don’t think we’ll forget : ) We are so excited for the two of you as you begin this new journey together as husband + wife — here’s to your forever love <3 xoxo!
