Connection โ€” it’s a really amazing + powerful thing.

BUT, I won’t ramble for the sake of ACTUALLY keeping a post short + to get to the exciting stuff for one of YOU!! To celebrate + say thank you for following, supporting, referring, + encouraging us over the past three years, we wanted to do a GIVEAWAY! Duh!! So today, we’re giving …

Personal

  1. Aleah Blada says:

First of all, CONGRATULATIONS! I love seeing God bless you in your business journey, and how you stay true to your marriage and your message throughout the process. ๐Ÿ™‚

One thing in my life that brings me joy is my marriage. Cory and I dated for 6 years before getting married and have been married now for just 9 months, but it’s been a joy to start this new chapter of our life together and continue to grow together in a deeper way (especially considering that 4 months ago we moved from Madison to Austin TX – away from everyone we know and love!).

  2. Jaimie says:

    Congratulations!!

Something that brings me joy is helping others find their way. My creative journey has been tumultuous at best, so to be able to help others through those struggles now is an incredible feeling.

  3. Mara says:

Congratulations you two, this is an exciting moment for you guys!

I find this blog providential because the word joy means so much in our family. A few years ago my husband’s mother was diagnosed with breast cancer and she decided that her word to fight the cancer was joy. Her journey in fighting this disease was all about doing her everyday activities with pink gloves that brought her joy. She decided to take pictures of these activities and make a joy book. It helped her focus on all things that brought joy to her life.

3 years later she is in remission and now my husband and I use the word joy everyday because of her. Our biggest joys in life are our family, marriage and now our first child. He will grow up learning how joy can be such a powerful word.

    Find joy in something everyday!

    Xoxo! Mara Dibb

  4. Carlee says:

Congrats guys! So nice meeting you both a few weeks back at the Edgewater. Can’t wait for Tay’s big day when we will all get to hang out. ๐Ÿ™‚

What fills my bucket? My family. I spent Mother’s Day with my family walking by the lake, grilling out at my house, and Face-timing with my siblings who live too far away. So simple, yet I can’t get it out of my head. Such a wonderful afternoon.

  5. Terri Meyer says:

Hey Congratulations you guys! So happy for you. My joy comes from my relationships with God, my family and friends. Praying for your continued success.

  6. Marlee says:

YAY! I’m so happy for you guys! Congrats ๐Ÿ™‚

My family brings me joy every day. There’s nothing like being with people who love you unconditionally, who know you inside and out. I wouldn’t be where I am today without my parents and brother ๐Ÿ™‚

  7. Maria says:

    What a huge accomplishment! Congratulations!

My joy comes in so many different forms, and it changes depending on what season of life I’m in. There has only ever been one constant source of joy, and that came from Christ when I was just 13 years old and trusted Him with my life. Since then, He has been my support through the unbearable and also the One I rejoice with. When I lost my grandma in February 2015, just 1 week before my due date with my first baby, I felt so much pain. Pain for my family, pain that I couldn’t make the funeral that was hundreds of miles away, and pain over losing one of my best friends. But, we know that God’s timing is perfect, and just a week after my precious Meemer’s death, God gifted my husband and I with the greatest joy we have ever known. A beautiful baby boy. He restored the joy I lost when Meemer passed in the form of a tiny, incredible soul. My little man brings me a joy that I never knew existed.

  8. Stephanie conley says:

CONGRATULATIONS, I feel joy when I surrounded by my family, my son recently moved out on his own so when he comes home, I am over joyed with happiness and love. Thank you

  9. Cindy Brandenburg says:

Congratulations! The timing of this is great because I was dwelling on what isn’t going my way. But things that bring me joy include hosting brunch for my mom, sisters and their families, spontanious kickball tournaments and when my kids friends send me Happy Mothers Day greetings. My cup runs over ๐Ÿ™‚

  10. Lauren Kirchner says:

Congrats! You two make some beautiful work! I receive joy first from the Lord but also by spending time with my family in Minnesota or even spending some quiet nights with my husband and dog. ๐Ÿ™‚

  11. Deb says:

I find joy in my son. He’s almost 25 but he makes me laugh whenever we talk. He has a heart of gold and would do anything for a friend.

  12. Vanessa Matenaer says:

Congratulations! I find joy in the smiles and giggles of my little boy.

  13. Sarah H says:

Awesome!! I find joy in snuggling with my 6 week old baby boy ๐Ÿ™‚

  14. Emily Stevens says:

Yay YOU GUYS!!! So so exciting! It’s because you do AMAZING work!

My joy comes from a lot of things. I try every day to seek it out. I have a mother-in-law who has inspired me to seek joy and gratitude in every situation! (I’m grateful for her!)

Today one piece of my joy came from my job. I work at a mental health clinic with people who struggle with a huge spectrum of disorders, hard/traumatic life situations, and addictions. I often meet with patients after their appointments (I have a job that works under the umbrella of quality assurance for the company). Today I had a woman who has been hit really hard by life- especially in the past few months. She was in tears and I was able to offer her a safe space as well as aid her in finding someone new who will be able to provide care to her specific needs/situation. At the end of our short 10 minute visit she thanked me and I walked her out. Jesus gave me a heart to serve others, and he gave me this purpose, this joy, to serve his most weary and broken down people. It is my joy to know that He is using me to bring light to so many dark situations!

  15. Leah Walker says:

Congrats!! Something in my life that produces joy is sharing good coffee with good friends. I cannot think of anything else is my life that brings more laughter, joy, and ultimately fruit than sharing words, wisdom, and memories over a good and honest cups of coffee.

  16. Esther Schulz says:

    Congratulations!
My children bring joy to my life.

  17. Congratulations on 5,000 likes! I imagine it won’t be too long before that doubles to 10,000! (At least I hope so! You guys deserve it!).

After reading this post and looking at these pictures, one thing that brings me joy (and I dearly miss living in Iowa) is Madison with all it’s unique and quirky shops, stores and markets! This weekend we did re-discover the Cedar Falls Farmers market, and buying some fresh produce and plants brought me SO much joy. I just love unique places and spaces ๐Ÿ™‚

  18. Congrats Maison and Caleb! I am thankful for my business and my husband who supports me and my business!

Awesome accomplishment Chica! Keep rocking it!

  19. Renee Spicer says:

My greatest joy has been a relationship with Jesus Christ and looking back in life through trials of heartache, depression, a spouse with cancer, loss of loved ones, and other trials and seeing He has carried me through and is the reason for the joy that I have despite the pain.

  20. Congrats on this accomplishment you two! What a great milestone! Much like you guys, my photography brings me joy! ๐Ÿ™‚

  21. Jennifer Reeves says:

Congrats to you both โฃ pushing myself out of my comfort zone brings me joy. Doing things that may scare others or be a challenge, the reward knowing I can do ALL things through Christ brings me great joy and comfort.

  22. Josee Waitrovich says:

Congratulations! One thing that brings me joy in life (other than being done with finals week of course) is knowing that no matter what happens I will always have a loving family to come home to and a Lord who loves me

  23. Sarah Waller says:

Congrats Maison & Caleb! This is such an accomplishment! When you become super famous, I’ll be able to say I was a fan from the beginning! ???????? One source of joy for me is my three nieces. I love being able to see them grow up & be a part of their lives!

  24. Josh Varghese says:

You guys are my photography and real-life HEROES. Sacrificial love brings me joy, both when I get the opportunity to serve someone in that way, and when I get to experience that personally. It is such a tangible reminder of Jesus’ love for us!

  25. Ellie Bauer says:

My joy comes from knowing that Jesus’ grace is enough for me!

  26. Kayla says:

My joy is having two boys that call me mom. At the end of the day, no matter how good of bad it was, I have two kids that make everyday worth repeating!

  27. Molly Geishirt says:

Congrats on 5k! Spending time with friends and wedding planning bring me joy!

  28. Katie Taillie says:

Congratulations!!!! I find so much joy in marriage and my husband!

  29. Morgan Swanson says:

Congratulations on 5,000! I find joy by spending my summer days on the lake and cooking out with friends and family:)

  30. Niccole Khail says:

Omg yes this store. MAISON so many things bring me joy. But a really fun one–and an exciting one since we’re moving back to Madison–is hearing my nephews giggle ???????????????? it’s just so sweet and precious and I LOVE it!!

  31. Maybe it’s a good thing I moved away from Madison, because I’d totally spend all of my money here!! What brings me joy each day is my dog jumping on my bed saying, "Wake Up!!" and when I look up her little butt just a-wiggiling.

  32. Ashley Barutt says:

Congrats on 5k! My joy is my family and getting to spend time with them. We are currently 400 miles apart so time together is a rare thing!

  33. Abby V says:

Congratulations on the milestone Maison and Caleb! You guys deserve all the good things ๐Ÿ™‚ I’m getting joy right now seeing my flowers poking up out of the ground…can’t wait for summer!

  34. Ashley Gerner says:

Congratulations on 5,000! What an accomplishment! I find joy in the little nugget I’m growing inside me! I can’t wait to feel little kicks and for my husband to feel it too!

  35. Aubree Dahl says:

Woohoo! Congratulations! The thing that brings me the most joy is waking up looking into the face of my furbaby (toy poodle) sharing my pillow while she’s still asleep! And then the cuddles that come from her and the fiancรฉ ๐Ÿ™‚

  36. Kathy Pflieger says:

Congratulations on 5000 likes – I can’t imagine NOT liking your post as it’s so real. My greatest joy is watching my grandchildren grow up to be happy, intelligent, LOVED by their amazing parents!

  37. Jill says:

Yah!! 5,000! How awesome. As cheesy as it sounds – life as a whole brings me joy. Not a day goes by that I don’t stop and smile because of this life I have. Not to say I haven’t have hardships and struggles as of late, but this life should be celebrated!!

  38. Mandy Dillenburg says:

Congratulations! You both deserve twice as many likes and followers ๐Ÿ™‚ My joy comes from many things, but mostly from my fiance, Vik. He supports me, challenges me, encourages me, and puts up with me no matter what! He is TRULY my rock and my better half! I can’t wait to marry him and have you photograph our wedding! ๐Ÿ™‚ <3

  39. Jen says:

Congratulations on 5K! ๐Ÿ™‚ One thing that brings me SO much joy is marriage. It is SO fun to go through life’s experiences with your biggest supporter + best friend by your side ๐Ÿ™‚

  45. Karen galvรกn says:

Wow, congratulations to you and Caleb! Great to hear you’re doing well! What brings me joy is spending time with family! And soon we’ll have three kids of four in one place so we can have more joy!! Thank you!

  46. Emily Bostrom says:

Congrats! I don’t know you two personally, but I know many who have been affected so positively by your impact in their lives. It has been so sweet to see the joy you bring out in people through capturing their big moments!

I get to hang out with this sweet group of high school girls every Wednesday night, and they bring me SO much joy. I often come to our Wednesday night event feeling worn out from a busy day, but they instantly change my mood. They are goofy, and fun, and so dang wise! Seven of these wonderful girls are graduating this year, which is so hard but also so exciting because I know them, and they are beautiful, shining lights! They’re already changing the world, and it is such a joy to be the tiniest part of their story!

  47. Maria Berg says:

Congrats! Something that brings so much joy is being with family and my husband!

  48. Amy Karpinski says:

Congrats on 5000 likes!! Something that brings me joy is my dogs. They are always so happy to see me when I get home and they always know when I’m feeling down and need some extra cuddles. Dogs really are man’s best friend! BTW, never been to Madison modern market but even if I don’t win I’ll have to check it out when I’m down there next! ๐Ÿ™‚

  49. Alexandria Odekirk says:

Congrats to you guys!! This is so exciting! Definitely role models for me and my biz!

Something that brings me joy: travel. I cannot express how much I would sometimes just love to take a month and just walk around everywhere. Now that I’m an adult I’m making my goal to fill my passport by going everywhere. I just love learning and seeing and experiencing everything that is not in my back yard! It’s probably why I love photography so much! It’s a view of the world from different perspectives. โค๏ธ. I’ve grown so much as a person from traveling and cannot reccommend it enough to my friends! Gah I’m so excited by just writing all of that ๐Ÿ™‚
    -Alexandria

  50. Kelly Eppinger says:

My sweet new daughter’s smile brings me SO much joy!

  51. Taylor Stunkel says:

Congrats! So happy to hear so many people are following along on your journey!

One thing that brings joy to my life is my career as an oncology nurse. I feel so humbled to be allowed into my patient’s life during such a difficult and vulnerable time. Being a support person for them and a source of knowledge to help ease their days makes my job so purposeful and rewarding.

  52. Kelly Moran says:

CONGRATS!!! I find joy in the elderly people that I work with in the nursing home. They give me a whole new perspective on life while sharing their wisdom and love with me. (And they are absolutely hilarious and have no filter). But being able to take care of them in such a personal way is humbling and brings me JOY each and every day that I work.

  53. Brianna Bauer says:

Congrats! My large, crazy, fun-filled extended family brings me the most joy. They are all my personal cheerleaders and having their support while at UW is the greatest gift I could ask for. I am so excited to be home for the summer and spend lots of quality time with them ๐Ÿ™‚

  54. Sarah Stevens says:

This is SO awesome Maison and Caleb!! Congrats! After the hardest year of my life joy has been something that had faded from my line of sight for awhile. I am intentionally looking on a daily basis for joy… It has been a #restorethejoy project of mine! So, today I found joy in the rain. To sit in the studio, painting on 100 year old reclaimed barn wood with the windows open with the sounds of rain was a sweet joyful time. ๐Ÿ™‚

  55. Lauren Watson says:

I find joy in simple things. A cup of tea. A lazy afternoon. A smile from a student. A basket of flowers. A meal with my mom. Finding joy in the small things is the best way to maintain happiness, I think. Of course the big, exciting things also bring joy, but it’s the small everyday things that remain when the explosive happiness fades. And if you can find joy in those things, then you’re set.

  56. Nicola Porto says:

How fun, congrats!! Music definitely brings me joy – on a run, in my car, dancing in my living room, wherever!

  57. Debra Wahlberg says:

The joy of the Lord is my strength! He gives and is my joy!! He has touched me and healed me 5 different times from 5 different cancers. He has brought 2 babies into my arms from another country on the other side of the world and matched us up perfectly. He has given me a wonderful husband of 38 years, and has been there for us in the struggles and the good times. He has filled my life with music, laughter, and tears of joy!!! (Greg and Christina’s wedding was a special joy He has blessed me with!!!)

  58. Molly Young says:

Congrats! I enjoy seeing your photographs come up on my social media feeds, they are gorgeous! There is soo much that brings me joy in life but a big one at the current time are all the tulips in bloom- a great reminder new life is beautiful!!

  59. Nadia says:

5000 is awesome! I recently discovered your blog, and your photos are gorgeous.
I am in the process of starting my own small business as well. I make versatile women’s clothing inspired by travel. It’s still super duper tiny, and I am still trying to figure things out, but every time someone discovers my shop and likes one of my designs enough to buy a dress, truly brings me joy. Your story is inspiring. Maybe someday I’ll get there too ๐Ÿ™‚

  60. Amanda says:

Traveling to other countries and learning about other cultures brings me joy! Just love reading your blog Maison!
