Trent & Ellie | A Blue & Gray Wedding at The Blackhawk Country Club in Madison, Wisconsin.

It was the talk of the day — the most perfect weather imaginable for a wedding day … especially an outdoor wedding day!! The sun was shining bright + the light breeze kept everyone cool amid the upper seventy-degree temperatures. You truly couldn’t have asked for a better day to get married! The energy of everyone involved reflected to beautiful weather + honestly, Trent + Ellie’s day was just SO fun to be a part of!!

The two were married + had their reception at The Blackhawk Country Club here in Madison. It was our first time shooting at this venue (which is always so exciting for us!) + we were just in awe of the beauty + location of The Club. It sits atop a giant hill right next to Lake Mendota + the views are probably unmatched to anywhere else in the city!! You will see what I’m talking about when we get to the ceremony photos! The backdrop as Trent + Ellie said “I Do!” was gorgeous greenery, treetops, + the sprawling blue waves of the lake (with lots of sailboats to complete the picturesque scene)! It was absolutely breath-taking. Coupled with the sweetest words from Ellie’s two sisters + Trent’s brother (who married the couple!), it was a ceremony that will be hard to forget.

It’s no surprise that such a kind + humble couple would attract the same type of friends. We had so much fun with Trent + Ellie’s bridal party, who were always quick to ask if needed help with anything, or check in to see how we were doing all throughout the day! Kind little gestures that made such an impressive impact on Caleb + I this past weekend! : ) Thank you, guys!!
