The wedding on the blog today was a really fun + special celebration for us — I am so excited to share it with you! The beautiful bride, Kayley, is best friends with Caleb’s sister, Tori (did you get all that?!?!), and so growing up, Caleb spent a lot of time with Kayley! She was always over at their house + truly became like another little sister to him : ) My heart melted a little when he told me that photographing the day felt a bit like photographing family : ) I definitely agree with him — we felt so loved + cared for + connected throughout they day, which always makes a wedding day even that much more fun than it already is!!
I’m pretty sure I met Kayley the very first time I visited Caleb’s family. Her + Tori + a bunch of their friends came barreling in the house, chatting a mile a minute … laughing, joking around … and gosh, I remember being so nervous! Would they like me?! We laugh about that first interaction now, but those girls actually made me feel SO welcome the minute we started talking + getting to know one another better. And that’s one of the (many) beautiful things about Kayley — her heart. She is one of the kindest + most thoughtful, loyal, generous, + genuine people you will ever meet. She makes you feel so at ease AND is so good at making you feel loved + cared for. These qualities make her so great at what she does, serving others in the medical field, + I have no doubt they will also make her an incredible wife.
Pairing with Kayley so well, John is more reserved than she is (except for his voice — he can literally yell SO loud when you need to get someone’s attention!! I might have utilized this a couple of times on their day …), he is kind-hearted, always looking out for the best interests of others, goofy, + can always make Kayley laugh. He loves his bride so much — it’s undeniable — and something that I noticed right away in how he treated her at their engagement session. He is courteous, respectful, + a gentleman. I hope you don’t get mad at me for writing this, John, but when he saw Kayley for the first time on their wedding day, he just turned to a ball of mush on the inside — I could see it right before my eyes! And it was so sweet + beautiful. We are over-the-moon happy + excited for these two amazing people as they begin their new legacy together — one that will undoubtedly love, give, + serve others for as long as they live. CHEERS to the brand new Baumanns!!!
