I think I’ve said it before on the blog, but if not, I know I’ve told a lot of people this in person — I seriously think that we have a crazy amount of high school sweethearts as clients! I feel like something about our business attracts high school sweethearts turned husband + wife as Maison Meredith brides + grooms!! Who knows … maybe just a lot of couples in general have been dating since high school … but I just really can’t believe that to be the case 😛
Ethan + Tori are — you guessed it — high school sweethearts!! AND, one of the best parts is that they graduated from the same high school as I did!! These two were just a little younger than me, so I didn’t know them personally when I was in school, but I did know who they were + I knew some of their siblings (OR I had one of their mom’s as my favorite four grade teacher!!). One of the best (+ sometimes hardest) things about growing up in a small town is that everyone knows everyone!! It all started for these two when Ethan was on the Varsity basketball team + Tori was a manager for the team! Talking (+ I’m just going to assume some flirting!!) turned into texting + then eventually dating! Almost a decade later (not exactly, but close!) + these two are now engaged + getting married!! We talked at their engagement session about how dating for such a long period of time … in such a transitional time in your life … is a really challenging yet beautiful thing for a couple! They have a great foundation to build their marriage off of + I just LOVE that, of course : )
Currently, Tori is a 3rd grade teacher in Stevens Point + Ethan is studying to get his degree in … elementary education : ) : ) : ) I told them that they HAVE to teach at the same school + teach in next door classrooms once he’s out of school + they both have their teaching jobs! How CUTE would that be!?!? Students would get Mrs. Dayton in 3rd grade + then move on to Mr. Dayton’s class for 4th grade … ahhh, I love it!! 😛 hehe!! In all sincerity though, what a fitting + beautiful career for two people who exude nothing but kindness, gentleness, patience, + REALLY warm + inviting smiles : ) We had the best time getting to know these two better during their session last week in Waupaca + when we got in the car to leave, the first thing Caleb said to me was, “they are seriously SO nice.” Amen!! Couldn’t agree more with you, babe! Excited for you to meet these two on the blog today + I hope that their warmness leaps from the photos + into your viewing space — wherever it is! — today : ) Happy Tuesday, everyone!
Oh, Tori!! That SMILE!!! Just stunning, girl!!
That glow + that JOY … I can’t get enough!! These docks shots were taken at Tori’s family cottage on the beautiful Chain O’ Lakes!
