Today’s wedding post is a bit different than our normal wedding posts! Steve + Sorana got married two Fridays ago during a private ceremony at the Wisconsin State Capitol here in Madison, + before the ceremony, we spent a couple of hours with them taking photos around the Square to document their incredibly special day!! It honestly was such a sweet, relaxed, + truly enjoyable afternoon with these two as we chatted + got to know one another better. They are such warm + inviting people — BOTH of them — and we felt just so honored to get to capture their sweetness + excitement for the commitment they were about to make to each other!!

Sorana is originally from Romania, but came to the States for her undergraduate degree. She ended up getting not only her undergrad degree but also her graduate degree + then got a job as an actuary for a well-known company here in Madison. It was at this company that she met Steve : ) Right before they got married, as we were wrapping up our time together, they shared with us how beautiful they believe their story to be. So many reasons for them to have never met, but their destiny was for each other + in Madison, WISCONSIN (of all places!) they did meet + fall in love. As they shared this story with us, their eyes lit up as they talked + looked at each other + I think, really realized the magnitude of what was about to happen just minutes later : ) I am so thankful to get to witness moments like this + to get to SEE couple’s love for one another just pour out from them before my very eyes. I mean, what better way to FILL up your heart + soul?!

I’m excited that these photos will get to share with Sorana’s family (who live in Romania + have to wait to celebrate with these two — Romanian style! — this coming Christmas) a glimpse into Steve + Sorana’s special day … and just how beautiful their daughter looked! AND how her husband looks at her with such joy + pride : )!! YAY for cameras + photos + internet : ) Enjoy these two + I hope everyone has a great start to their week!! Happy Monday!!
