Chris + Sara | Engaged | An Epic Engagement Session at Devil’s Lake State Park in Baraboo, Wisconsin.

October 5, 2016

We have never shot an engagement session like the one you’re going to see on the blog today — and that is why I am SO excited to share it! Chris + Sara (who are Milwaukee-based wedding photographers themselves!!) had a vision for their session that was a bit out of the box; something that was very true to who they are as people + as a couple!! I am ALL about this! We were so excited to document a romantic, editorial, + truly EPIC engagement session for these two at Devil’s Lake State Park just outside of Madison.

Chris + Sara met at … the Apple store. And it is one of the cutest stories I have ever heard! Sara is a very strong, very independent woman + at the time of her + Chris’ first meeting, she wasn’t looking for a relationship or honestly even sure if she would ever get married!! One day, she was having problems with her MacBook + made an appointment at the Genius Bar to get it looked at by an Apple expert— can you guess who helped her? ; ) Chris was immediately struck by not only Sara’s beauty but her determined + confident personality, + the accomplishments that he quickly learned (through conversation) she had achieved in her business. She came into his life at a time when he knew he needed a partner like her to push him to be the best version of himself he could possibly be. Without a doubt, after just a couple of minutes, he knew that Sara could very well be that woman.

Chris ran some tests on Sara’s computer while trying to strike up a conversation about their mutual love for photography. After everything was fixed + it came time for Sara to leave, Chris (boldly!!) mentioned that they should be friends on Facebook so they could share their photography + work with one another … Sara agreed : ) Who KNEW that would be the day they would meet their soulmate!? Just so unexpected + I LOVE that!!!

They connected online but didn’t really talk much over the internet. Instead, they decided to start hanging out to play cribbage together! They spent a lot of time together + one day, went to a movie that Chris insists was a date but Sara says was just as friends : ) Soon after, what started as an incredible friendship (at least on one person’s end … the other might have been wanting a relationship from day one! hehe!) turned into a dating relationship that has led them to where they are today. I can tell you from experience that these two are completely + utterly perfect for each other. They are an AMAZING team + complement one another’s quirks + strengths so so well : ) We have LOVED getting to know them better + feel so thankful for the kindness + love them have just lavished on Caleb + I! We seriously CANNOT wait until their wedding next September!!!! Can you imagine how amazing it’s going to be?! EEK! Enjoy this one!!

She must love him : )

LOVE : )

And then this happened : ) What an ending!!
