Oh, do we have a wedding on the blog today for you! One that is full of fate-filled moments, a GORGEOUS fall color palette, + joy that is absolutely awe-inspiring!! We have been so excited to shoot Michael + Lindsay’s day for the LONGEST time — and not because we knew it was going to be an aesthetically gorgeous day, but because we truly just couldn’t wait to spend time with these two again!

One of the most beautiful things about Michael + Lindsay’s day was the community involved in it! Like I just said, we were so excited to spend the day with Michael + Lindsay because they are two of the most bubbly, fun, + easy-going people we have ever met! Any time spent with them is filled with laughter + happiness!! Now, multiply those truths about them x50 and you have Michael + Lindsay’s entire friend group : ) They have a HUGE friend group that is vibrant, rich in relationship, + always ready to have a good time. This friend group is actually how Michael + Lindsay originally met — they actually didn’t know much about each other for a long time because there are so many people in this group + they never really had one-on-one time with each other. Eventually, however, they ended up on the same soccer team + it was there that these two got to know one another better. To make a long (+ quite hilarious) story short, Lindsay told one of her friends she thought Michael was cute … Michael found out she had said this … asked her out on a date … and said date lasted FOUR hours because they just got along so well : ) I love it!!

At the reception, Lindsay’s dad shared a photo with an accompanying story that is just too good not to share. The photo is from Lindsay’s childhood — a group of kids posed together for a photo at the local pool one summer. Can you guess who was also in this photo?!? MICHAEL!! Ahhh, little did either of them or their families know at the time, two young kids swimming at the same pool would one day meet in their adulthood, fall in love, + eventually get married!! So sweet : )

To Lindsay + Michael — the two of you LIGHT up whatever room you are in, + that quality is a true gift to those who know you! At the reception, Michael, your Godmother came up to me + we started talking. She told me that they used to call you “Smiley” because of how contagious your smile is. I couldn’t agree more — and I think you definitely married Mrs. Smiley : ) Together, you two will only increase in joy as you fall into the richness of marriage + I hope that you never stop lighting up every room that you walk into … from now on, together : ) Love you both so much!!
