Joel and Taylor have been together for almost a decade. That’s a LONG time when you’re only in your mid-20s! They are high school sweethearts and their relationship has withstood the many, many changes that life tends to bring us. From those teenage-year changes to move-across-the-country-long-distance kind of changes. Joel and Taylor have embraced each change with grace, commitment, and love.
Each and every speech at the reception was about the solidity of their relationship and the foundation they have built together. Words spoken about the strength of their companionship and friendship, and about how their LOVE has been the glue that has kept them together through it all (I seriously heard this SO much throughout the night!). These two have one of the biggest support systems I have ever seen — friends and family who care about and believe in them SO much. I think the fact that their bridal party and parents were caught crying happy tears more throughout the day than Joel and Taylor themselves just speaks volumes!! Hehe : )
It all makes sense to me, though. Because Joel and Taylor come from two families with such strong legacies of love. Grandparents who have been married 60 years, two sets of parents who have been such incredible and loving examples for them. They are coming from such a rich harvest of love that I have no doubt will only continue that as they begin a new family together! (In fact, at the reception, I had a very specific vision of them married 50+ years down the road at their own grandchildren’s weddings and it definitely made me teary-eyed!). They are such a special couple with such amazing families and we have felt SO lucky to be a small part of this story!
So while I could talk about all the beautiful details at The Lageret, or Taylor’s STUNNING Allure Bridals gown, I just can’t help but talk about the love. The relationships. A truly breath-taking day (and no, I’m not referring to the frigid winter temps! ;)). Enjoy some of our favorites and one last CONGRATULATIONS to Joel & Taylor! We love you!
I posted a photo of Taylor’s dress on my Instagram story the day of the wedding and SO many people were commenting about how gorgeous it was! I COMPLETELY agree!!!!
Since Joel plays baseball, these shoes were a MUST for Taylor! I love it!
Bringing all the men in her life to tears : )
A favorite! This photo is so “them” :)!!!!
A gigantic thank you to Joel & Taylor’s wonderful wedding day team!
