I don’t think that a couple could dream up a more perfect wedding day. The weather was truly perfection and every single part of Zach and Stefanie’s day went off without a hitch. I really couldn’t believe it, honestly, as we drove away from the day reflecting on how amazing every single aspect was.
Stefanie’s family has several properties in the historic city of Elkhart Lake so coupled with the fact that the city itself is absolutely gorgeous, it only made sense for these two to get married there! Between the lake, the gardens, and the quaint old houses on every corner, we had infinite opportunities for shooting! My favorite spot, however, was the willow tree in Stefanie’s uncle’s backyard — just breathtaking : )
I knew going into the day that Stefanie was going to be a stunning bride but gosh, this girl blew me out of the water! Her gown was absolutely gorgeous and fit her like a glove! I loved the off-the-shoulder sleeves, dainty floral detail work, and the slightly see-through back!! When Zach saw her, he was a puddle of tears (okay, he may have been crying before he even turned around) and I don’t blame him. Stefanie was radiating.
Another thing I expected on the day was tears from these two. In our time getting to know Zach and Stefanie, we have discovered them to be two of the sweetest, kindest, and most caring people we have ever met. They love tenderly and so, so deeply. As I was thinking about their wedding in the days beforehand, I could imagine them both shedding such joyful, heartfelt tears as they were finally uniting together as husband and wife — a day they have both prayed for, prepared for, and looked forward to for so long. There were so many powerful moments throughout the day and throughout the ceremony; I especially loved when their families and bridal parties prayed over them before their announcement as husband and wife for the very first time!
The reception was filled with GORGEOUS floral arrangements, heartfelt (and HILARIOUS!!) toasts, and guests dancing and singing the night away under the tent. As we were getting to leave, I couldn’t help but smile looking into the tent and seeing nearly every guest on the dance floor, singing at the TOP of their lungs to all the songs that the DJ played. A joyous celebration : )
So without further adieu, enjoy some of our favorites from Zach and Stefanie’s wedding!! To the Vanderveldts!!

And now for the most hilarious sequence of speech photos … ; )
He had lots of funny (or should I say, embarrassing) stories to tell! HA!!!
It doesn’t get much better than this!!
Zach’s grandparents are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary this year so Zach and Stefanie got a small replica of their wedding cake made and surprised them with it at the reception <3
A very special shoutout to Zach and Stefanie’s wedding day team!
