“Before I say the prayer tonight … you know, I just wanted to say that when I think about God … sometimes I think that if we were to have a face-to-face conversation with Him, He would tell us to just have more fun. We take things too seriously and everyone’s always so stressed out or so worried. I really think He would just say, ‘Have more fun. Laugh more. Celebrate more.’ And that’s what tonight is — tonight is a celebration of Patrick and Caroline’s story and we want everyone here to have a lot of fun.”

I couldn’t believe how fitting Patrick’s father’s words were to start off their wedding reception this past weekend. His words have not only been swirling around in my head constantly for the past couple of days, but they really capture — more than just the wedding reception — Patrick and Caroline’s love for life. These two are a couple who know how to celebrate, how to laugh (my GOSH do they laugh together!!), and how to find joy and positivity in almost every single experience life hands them. Honestly, their joy and their child-like love for one another and for life is something that I admire and LOOK UP TO about them so much. I want to be more like them in this regard … it’s just so beautiful!!

Needless to say, we had a BLAST celebrating them this past Sunday. In just six months (actually, in less than six months by one day), these two got engaged, moved across the country, started new jobs, and planned their wedding. Nothing about this surprises me, however, as they live for adventure and chasing their passions side-by-side : ) Patrick and Caroline are accomplished and driven yet SO humble, down-to-earth, and easy-going. They BOTH light up a room and are so connected to those around them. She is confident and captivating, he is the life-of-the-party, funny, and so welcoming to everyone around him.

I am super excited to share their images (and their joy!!) with you on the blog today. Patrick and Caroline — thank you for inviting us to join along on some of your life’s most important moments thus far. It has been nothing short of amazing, life-giving, and so much FUN : ) We love you guys so much and are truly SO excited for all that the future is going to present you guys as you embrace it wildly and fully every single day!!
