Although these two currently live out east in Connecticut where Caitlin is finishing her schooling, an engagement session in downtown Madison (where Mike and Caitlin met and plan to move back to next year once Caitlin graduates!) was simply fitting and made perfect sense. We had SUCH a wonderful time with these two — they are EASY to love, let me tell you!! — and photographing their joy, playfulness, and attractiveness (yes, I just went there ; )!) was definitely one of the highlights of my past week!!!

Mike and Caitlin met through Caitlin’s older sister’s husband who used to work with Mike. After a very successful first date playing tennis and second date golfing and getting Thai food, it became pretty obvious that these two were a match made in heaven : ) They feed off of each other’s jokes and laughter, they are goofy and (SO) much fun , and they are clearly full of so much respect and admiration for one another.

When the time came for Mike to ask Caitlin to marry him, he took her back to one of their favorite Bed & Breakfast’s on the coast in Connecticut. After a day full of fun activities (including time at the spa with unlimited pineapple juice ; )!) he proposed to her during a walk on the beach. She was surprised and OVERJOYED at the proposal and, of course, said “yes!”

These two are getting married next September here in Madison and we could not be more excited to celebrate with them! I have no doubt you will agree with me that Caitlin is going to be the most stunning bride (and Mike super handsome himself!) and the joy they already share will only be magnified x1,000! I CANNOT wait : )!!! Until then, enjoy some of our favorites from their iconic Madison engagement session!
