Dan and Cidnee are both from Wisconsin and are getting married in Wisconsin, but they currently live in Portland, Maine! Cidnee actually just moved out east to be with Dan as she was finishing pharmacy school at UW-Madison for the past three years and they were dating long distance! Currently, Dan is finishing dental school while Cidnee completes her residency for her pharmacy degree — these two are super smart and accomplished ; ) They are EQUALLY as kind and down-to-earth : ) Cidnee is quiet and sweet, but totally knows how to make Dan laugh!! Dan is outgoing and chatty, one of those guys that you feel like you have known your whole life after just five minutes of spending time together.

All that being said, with them living out east and us being here, it was pretty important that we got their engagement session in when they were back in Wisconsin visiting. We had the date on the calendar for months but as we got closer, the forecast wasn’t looking very promising! What first was predicted to be rain all day, changed to just rain in the afternoon and evening. We are SO thankful that Dan and Cidnee were able to be flexible and come over to Madison for a morning engagement session on the date we had scheduled! We had no rain AND we had the most beautiful lighting! Such a win-win : ) Our first spot at James Madison Park looks the BEST on an overcast day (in my opinion!) so I was actually super happy with the forecast!!

Dan and Cidnee officially met through mutual friends during their college days but they didn’t start really talking until they were in the same stats class junior year. Cidnee recognized Dan and she told him to sit next her. The rest is history : ) Dan proposed to Cidnee in Quebec City amidst gorgeous historic architecture downtown with nods to many of the citizens French roots. I hear that it was the most beautiful setting : ) These two will be getting married next October and we are just so thankful to be “along for the ride.” They are an amazing pair, so much fun to spend time with, SO good-looking, and truly, as kind as they come : ) So without further adieu, enjoy our favorites from Dan and Cidnee’s Madison engagement session!
