Gosh, I just feel so thankful that we had the opportunity to meet these two! Tyson and Libby are honestly about as kind and cool as they come. We had so much fun getting to know them and witness how absolutely PERFECT they compliment one another. Three years into marriage and I can confidently say that these two love each other more today than they did on their wedding day.

What struck me most about our time with Tyson and Libby was how much they both admire and respect one another. From the way that Libby looked at and spoke of Tyson (SO highly, truly believing he is the best man on this earth) to the way that Tyson would wrap Libby up and just get lost in her when I would have them do a “pose.” They are an amazing team, so fun and down-to-earth, and honestly just so, SO nice!! I’m super excited for you to get to know them better today and to share their 3rd Anniversary photos with you!!

1.Where do you two live & what is one of your favorite things about your city?

Madison, WI. We love that Madison is walkable. We like to load up the dog and the baby and go for long walks or hikes around Madison. We live in the Monroe Street area, so we like to walk to Michaels (dog ice cream!!), Trader Joes, Bloom bake shop and Collectivo. Tyson also likes all the breweries : )

2. How did you two meet & how long have you been married?

We met working at Epic. Our cubes were next to each other in our first office and we helped each other with training. We became friends, especially because Libby knew she could always go to Tyson with a technical problem! Over time, our friendship evolved into a relationship. We celebrated our three year anniversary on August 2!

3. Tyson, what is one of your favorite things about Libby? Libby, what is what of your favorite things about Tyson?

T: Libby is incredibly thoughtful and caring. Whether she’s reading 100 amazon reviews to pick out the perfect Christmas gift, planning Tyson’s birthday party or arranging for a surprise visit by Tyson’s friends, she’s always thinking about what she can do to delight others. She’s also a pretty good baker, and Tyson loves testing out her new recipes.

K: Tyson takes such good care of our family. He prioritizes us above everything else and works so hard to make sure everyone is happy and well cared for. I’ve never seen such a devoted dad and husband. With his trademark energy, he packs lunches, takes the dog out in the morning, changes diapers and reads bed time stories.

4. What has been a day-to-day challenge of marriage that you weren’t necessarily expecting? How do you battle that challenge?

With two full time jobs, a baby, a dog and a cat, things can get a little routine and sometimes exhausting. It is important to still try to make time for each other, make each other laugh and do special things. We also show our love in different ways (Libby words, Tyson actions), so we do our best to try to appreciate the other person in a way that the other person understands.

5. What is one of your favorite things about marriage? What do you love about it?!

So many things! Being able to rely on someone else and know that they rely on you. Having someone else to share both the burden and joys of life. Being with your best friend all the time. A million inside jokes and family traditions. Knowing one person so well that you know the things that will make them laugh, smile and feel appreciated.
