We started at Genna’s right off Capitol Square … where Tanner and Amy first met almost three years ago. They actually went to high school together but didn’t know each other then. Their reconnection many years later aligned with fate’s perfect timing for their love story to begin!

We had an amazing night for their session and Tanner and Amy could not have looked any better! Amy currently lives in San Francisco so the timing for their session had to be just right while she was in town and the crazy amount of rain we’ve been getting had us all a bit worried! Even though it down-poured on the morning of their session (like thunderstorms and flooding kind of weather!), the rain magically stopped just a few hours before we met and we truly got some of the most beautiful light I have worked with in a long time!

We chatted about (Caleb and Tanner’s) mutual love for winter sports, our shared fondness of Madison’s food scene, and their upcoming wedding in October. I love how sweet Tanner and Amy are together … yet also so playful and goofy at the same time! It was a blast to get to know them and an honor to document this season for them! At the end of their session, Amy showed me some pictures of her wedding dress and OH my gosh, just when I thought I couldn’t be any more excited for their wedding … I AM! She is going to be a vision, that’s all I will say, and we cannot wait to capture it all!
