Adam & Jenny | A Downtown Wedding at South Second in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Gold and glitter and SO much happiness! That is what’s coming your way on the blog today so if those things sound good to you, then I would stick around! Adam and Jenny were married this past weekend in downtown Milwaukee, Wisconsin at a newer industrial venue in the city called South Second. The style of their day fit their personalities just perfect and I alway love seeing when couples plan a day that is so perfectly “them.” One nod to this was that both Adam and Jenny wore tennis shoes with their wedding attire … though Jenny’s may have been gold sparkly Kate Spade tennis shoes, it was a perfect nod to their laid-back personalities and more casual style. For their first dance together, Adam’s mom even changed into gold tennis shoes and I think I squealed with joy just a little bit as it was SO cute!!

Jenny got ready at her and Adam’s apartment and I really loved this special touch to their day. It isn’t very common for couples to get ready where they live but Adam and Jenny have an amazing apartment right downtown with huge windows and tons of natural light so it worked really well! I love that Jenny and her bridesmaids were able to spend the morning in a place that is so familiar to them and it really set the day off on a super comfortable, relaxed tone — again, so fitting for Adam and Jenny’s personality!

For the first look, Adam and Jenny chose a spot on the Milwaukee Riverwalk right near their apartment. It is a place they love and frequently walk their dog Finn, so it made perfect sense to be the place where they saw each other for the first time on their day! These two were nothing but smiles upon seeing each other and I loved getting to document their pure excitement!! Jenny’s smile is one of my FAVORITE things about her and there was a lot of smiling last Saturday! : ) After the ceremony at South Second, we headed for photos at the Milwaukee Swing Park and back to the Riverwalk with their bridal party! Everything was so close together and perfectly fit their glam-industrial wedding day vibe! We even got some photos near the water in a nod to Adam’s love for the water and for sailing : ) The night ended with a wonderful reception back at South Second, amazing catering by Saz’s Hospitality Group, and lots of dancing and photo booth-ing : ) Adam and Jenny — thank you two for sharing your day and yourselves with us! We love you two SO MUCH and cannot wait to share these images with you!!
