Oh, sweet Lake Country! With the right light, the right settings and, of course, two amazing people, Wisconsin can really be one beautiful place! The scenery was sure showing off for John and Jessi’s lake country engagement session last week as we explored a new spot to Caleb and I, Naga-Waukee Park in Hartland! This place is one that John and Jessi spent a lot of time at together when they were dating and I’m SO glad they suggested it for their session with us! We know that this region of our state is absolutely gorgeous with its rolling hills and many lakes so it’s always such a treat to venture to a new place! ESPECIALLY when it means something to the couple!

We had the most incredible weather – it was the first sunny day in awhile and one of the first days this summer with no humidity!!! — so we were all in heaven ; ) The trees were just sparkling with golden light and Jessi’s smile by FAR stole the show! I commented in my sneak peek Instagram post of John and Jessi’s session that I wish I could spend every day with them because they are two of the kindest, most joyful people. You just can’t help but smile and be filled up when spending time with them. I’m convinced of it!

John and Jessi have been together for a LONG time. Almost a decade!! And even longer than that, they have known each other since the 7th grade. Their friendship just SHINES through their relationship and I love the way they know each other SO well already. As we were chatting and getting to know them more throughout the session, I would ask them about themselves. I noticed that John would always respond about Jessi, describing her to me instead of her describing herself and … vice versa : ) They are such a great pair and I am SO excited for them to be married next year!!
