If you’re going to have a fall engagement session, there is NO better place than acres of Wisconsin rolling countryside in the beginning of October!! We met Austin and Maria at Austin’s family property just outside of Madison for their engagement session last Friday and Caleb and I were both taken aback at what a gorgeous spot we found ourselves in!!! As we climbed the gravel, wooden-fence-lined driveway back and forth up the side of (a very large) hill, each turn kept getting prettier and prettier! Birch trees lining the driveway, fall foliage everywhere, and then a grand opening at the top of the hill where a beautiful home sat overlooking the countryside as far as you could see. Truly the perfect setting for their cozy fall engagement session!

Austin and Maria actually live in Chicago but both love the outdoors just as much as they love city-life! They told us how their giant GMC pickup truck gets lots of looks in downtown Chicago ; ) With Austin’s roots in beautiful Wisconsin, they will also be getting married here next year! I love their desire to combine their love for the city and the outdoors in both their engagement session and on their wedding day! For example, we started the shoot in the country but ended in downtown Madison at the State Capitol … and an outfit change to match! I just love their style and vision and am honored to document it all!! Truly! <3

We left our time with Austin and Maria feeling so filled up and thankful. It’s always such a blessing to leave time with a couple feeling grateful and very loved : ) They have such good energy and made us feel so special and appreciated. They are about as kind as they come, so down-to-earth and yet also love to laugh and have a good time! I could easily spend any evening with them, chatting and sharing life together over a drink or two : ) We are SO excited for their wedding next September but until then, enjoy some of our favorites from their engagement session!!
