The engagement session on the blog today completely encompasses all things that I absolutely LOVE (the water, photography, + couples that are committing to forever together … oh, AND my husband + dog who were both there as well!!), so as you can imagine, I am ecstatic to share it with you!!! So much goodness in one little corner of the internet today!! : ) 

Meet Kayle + Alex–once high school teenagers who met after a certain boy asked a certain girl to be his partner in gym class + now, eight years later, accomplished adults who are choosing to spend the rest of their life together : ) They are such a talented, attractive (let’s be honest with ourselves here!!!), + driven yet down-to-earth duo–simply the best kind of couple!! You are going to love them : ) 

Their proposal story is SO darn cute that I have to share it with you before we take a look at some of our favorite images from their engagement session last week!! Alex’s parents live on Lake Michigan + both Alex + Kayle love the beach, so one morning, in October of last year, the two decided to watch the sunrise together on the beach (the sun rises over the lake so it is SUPER beautiful!!). As they are romantically watching the sun rise together (+ I’m envisioning cuddling + chatting about how much they love each other, but who knows … ; )), Alex gets up + walks over to a crumpled up brown paper bag that is laying on the beach. “Eeeewww, what are you doing!?!?!,” shouted Kayle. He walked back over to her, opened the bag, got down on one knee + pulled out a gorgeous diamond engagement ring .. !!!!! AHHHH! Such a turn of events!! Little did Kayle know, but Alex’s brother was hiding in some bushes on the edge of the beach to videotape the proposal + he actually threw out the paper bag onto the beach when they got there!!  I love the brotherly scheming : ) 

A+K will be getting married next June + we cannot WAIT to have them in front of our cameras again!! Until then, enjoy their Lake Michigan engagement session!!

I just can’t get over this location!!!! So perfect!!

For our second location, Alex + Kayle took us to a private beach by Alex’s parent’s home. Needless to say, I was in heaven!!!! 

It’s like a scene out of a movie!!!
