Here it is! This is our “last” wedding of the crazy 2017 stretch (we still have one in November and one in December!) but we are done shooting every weekend for this season. I can hardly believe it!! I also, TRULY, cannot think of a better couple to end this year’s stretch with. We have loved Brock and Stephanie from the day we met them and getting to witness the day these two finally became husband and wife only (significantly!!) grew our love for them!! We could not be happier for the brand new Reopelle’s and it was a privilege to be given the opportunity to document their day!!
October so far this year has been uncooperative for us Wisconsinites (especially those of us involved in weddings!). As a bride and groom leading up to your wedding day, one of the things you don’t want to see is a 90% chance of rain for the entire day and a radar FILLED with dark green blobs. Though this was the prediction for Brock and Stephanie’s day, as I expected, these two were not in the least bit phased about it and just so excited to not only be getting married (!!!) but to be surrounded by so many of their friends and family. They actually got married in the church where they were both baptized and confirmed and now, they can add their wedding day to that list : ) What a special thing!!
Because of the rain, we rearranged the schedule of the day a bit to do some bride and groom portraits as well as bridal party portraits before the ceremony (Brock and Stephanie were already planning to do a first look, so we just snuck some bridal party shots in before the ceremony, too!). I am SO thankful for the beautifully “blooming” fall tree that was RIGHT across the street from the church — its colors were an absolutely perfect compliment to the rich greens and blues of the bridal party!!
After the ceremony, it began raining. We headed out to the historic Novitiate property, just outside of Shawano, to attempt another set of bride/groom and bridal party photos. We had umbrellas ready to go and a couple and bridal party ready to take on the rain!! However, the SECOND we pulled into the property, it stopped raining (mind you, even though the radar was telling us otherwise!). We proceeded to shoot and spend time at the Novitiate for an hour … all without rain. AS we were walking out, all done with photos, the rain began again. The timing was … pretty incredible : ) Almost unbelievable, really. There were lots of hugs and smiles and laughter all around : )
Brock and Stephanie — I think you know that we absolutely adore the two of you. Thank you for being such kind, generous, down-to-earth human beings. The warmth you spread to those around you is not something you can feel, but something that WE can feel and are so thankful for : ) We are SO excited to watch and cheer you on in your marriage journey! Now, enjoy some of our favorites from your day! XO!
