You are in for a treat with the wedding on the blog today! Hussain and Stefanie’s two-day Indian-American wedding this past weekend was as FUN as it was BEAUTIFUL! I’ve said this before but there is just something so special about photographing Indian weddings – we LOVE it. The color, ENERGY, unique cultural elements, and overall FUN to be found in each one is really quite amazing. And hard to fully capture in photos! I love that Hussain and Stef chose to have a two-day celebration, including ceremonies from both traditions.

Friday was the American wedding and reception. The couple got married in downtown Wausau, where Stefanie grew up! The church was packed with their closest family and friends (from around the country and world!) as these two said “I do” in their beautiful ceremony. The celebration to follow at City Grill was one big party! The toasts given by the Maid of Honor and Best Man were hilarious (and I mean … I was crying laughing!) but also so sincere and heartfelt. One of my favorite moments was in the beginning of the dances, when Stef and her mom — and later some other female family members — did a special dance with Stefanie’s grandfather. I don’t think there was a dry eye in the room.

Saturday followed with the Indian wedding ceremony and celebration! Both days we had just beautiful weather … sunny and warm! It felt like the earth was just shining and smiling for Hussain and Stef : ) Saturday’s events were so much fun and high-energy — from the colorful floral by Kase Styles adoring the Grand Theater Great Hall to the incredible choreographed sangreet dances later in the evening to start off the dance portion of the reception! It was amazing and SO much FUN!

It was hard to pick my favorites from such a long and extraordinary weekend but here we go! Hussain and Stefanie, thank you for inviting us into your celebration! You two made us feel like such fast friends and we are so grateful to have had the opportunity to not only meet you but capture this extremely special season of your lives!! Enjoy!!!
