As I’m writing this post, the two lovebirds on the blog today are honeymooning in the oh-so-romantic Irish hills. When studying abroad in college, I had the privilege of visiting Ireland myself + to this day, it is still the most beautiful, welcoming, + wonderful place I have ever been!! Christian + Maggie have always dreamed of visiting this magical place + I don’t think there could be a better time than their honeymoon!! It’s also a rather fitting location for this post because as you will see shortly in their photos, their wedding looks like it was taken right out of an Irish magazine!! Hehe : ) I kept telling them all day that they looked like a royal couple–from Maggie’s dress + veil to Christian’s black bow tie + regal demeanor–these two were just ravishing!! We had such a wonderful time with them + can definitely attest to how perfect they really are for each other!! 

C + M were married in a small, stone chapel at the top of hill surrounded by miles on miles of rolling Wisconsin countryside. Poems were read, songs sang, candles lit, + of course, vows shared : ) They had the most adorable ring bearers + flower girls, + Maggie made all the bouquets by hand!! (And it was her first time ever doing so!!) The flowers were all actually fake flowers, but she did such an amazing job that you can’t even tell! I was so impressed–this girl is an artist of all kinds + apparently, it runs in the family!! Maggie’s mom told me she gets it from her dad, who told me he gets it from his uncle … it was so sweet to see this family interact + share such sweet memories together all throughout the day : ) 

We visited some glorious locations for our portrait time on the way to the reception + the sun set just in time for the celebration to begin : ) Their cake was a three-tiered ice cream cake (I have never seen anything like this!! just wait!!) + they danced to great oldies music long after we said our goodbyes : ) Maggie + Christian–congratulations on a most beautiful day + what is sure to be an even more beautiful marriage!! Christian’s parents are farmers, so we just had to get a couple of shorts with the gorgeous Wisconsin countryside in the background!!

Can you believe this thing is solid ice cream!? I was amazed!! Each layer was a different blizzard flavor, too!!

Maggie’s dad was in a band when he was younger + so at the reception, as a surprise for him, Maggie had the DJ play one of the songs from her dad’s band during the bridal party dance! I’d say he was a bit surprised ; )
