While Jacob and Julianne are honeymooning in the beautiful (and WARM!!) Hawaii, we are reliving their stunning New Year’s Eve wedding on the blog today!! We have absolutely fallen in love with these two and are just thrilled to be finally sharing their day with you (because it means they’re officially MARRIED!!!).

It was important for Jacob and Julianne to have a day that not only celebrated their marriage, but also that celebrated the relationships in their lives. New Year’s Eve seemed like the PERFECT day to throw a HUGE party to bring all of these people together in one place! J&J did an amazing job throwing a decked out in gold-glitter wedding reception at 1451 Renaissance Place for their friends and family!! All of Jacob’s teammates from his time on the Drake basketball team were in attendance and in order to get the couple to kiss during dinner, guests had to make a basket (complete with mini basketball and hoop!) on the dance floor!! Afterwards, everyone danced the night away and there was an incredible confetti and champagne celebration at midnight!! We had SO much fun!!

My favorite part of the entire day, however, was when Jacob and Julianne shared their hand-written vows at the ceremony. They both said the EXACT same thing about each other — essentially how the other has made them into a better version of themselves and they are so thankful for this in one another. It was almost word for word, and so, so sweet!! Jacob and Julianne, thank you for sharing your day with us and for sharing your LIVES with us! We are beyond grateful for your friendship. Enjoy some of our favorites from your day — and enjoy that golden sun for us back here in Wisconsin!
