We have really been lucking out with the most beautiful weather ever for weddings here in Wisconsin recently!! My goodness, Noah and Lauren’s day is what everyone dreams of for their wedding and I know they were so, so grateful! I am really excited to share their images with you today!
The ceremony and reception took place at Geneva National Resort in Lake Geneva — a new venue for Caleb and I! We arrived early to scope out the property and immediately fell in love! The resort sits atop of rolling hills on all sides, with the stunning Lake Como at the bottom of one of those hills! We buzzed around on a golf cart with one of the workers to pick spots for where we wanted to shoot and Caleb and I were just so thankful for how helpful and friendly all of the staff at the golf club were!
Noah and Lauren are two extremely loved individuals — with ten bridesmaids and ten groomsmen on each side, we had a FULL and fun day with this crew! When we got to the house where everyone was getting ready, the energy was electric as the wedding party and families were scattered about getting ready, chatting with one another, basking in the sun on the back patio, etc.! It can always be a little bit nerve-wrecking to go into a day with SUCH a big bridal party because, from the photography standpoint, you just don’t know how easy it’s going to be to wrangle that many people AND get them to listen to you ; ) BUT, this group was AMAZING!! We loved Noah and Lauren’s bridal party SO much and are so thankful for all the ways in which they not only served Noah and Lauren on their day, but us as well!!
The ceremony took place on the back lawn overlooking Lake Como with the cocktail hour to follow underneath the tent just behind. Bahama Bob played music from his steel drum, cocktails were poured, stories shared, and I loved just walking around, snapping photos, and hearing all the laughter throughout the tent!! Again, these two are SO loved and their day was just an outpouring of that love from morning to night!
One of my favorite parts of the day was when Lauren’s dad gave his toast to welcome everyone to the reception. He shared the sweetest stories recollecting some of his favorite memories with Lauren and spoke so highly of his new son-in-law, Noah. There wasn’t a dry eye in the room. When we were out at sunset photos, Lauren shared with us how much that speech meant to her and so, Mr. Grissim, if you’re reading this, I want you to know that!! : ) It was an amazing day with truly so many moments of love and celebration.
Noah and Lauren — enjoy some of our favorites from the day you became Mr. and Mrs. Bown!! It was an honor to document your day and witness the joining of two people who share such a deep and mutual respect for one another. We have NO doubt that the two of you will continue the remarkable string of marriage legacies that runs through both of your families — so here’s to the next 70+ years : )!!!!
Oh Lauren!! You are BEAUTIFUL!!!
