There were lots of tears on Riley and Kourtney’s day. And they were the happy, from-the-deepest-part-of-your soul kind of tears. I knew this would happen, just knowing who Riley and Kourtney are and the families they come from, but it was more beautiful to witness than I even imagined it would be.

When Kourtney got into her dress, before she could even get it zipped up, her mom had to pause because she was just so overcome with emotion and love for her daughter. Don’t get me wrong, Kourtney was BREATHTAKING in her dress (I do actually think I gasped when she was in the dress with the veil on) but her mama’s tears were about so much more than the outward beauty of her daughter. They were because of the inward beauty that she knows so well. And the most amazing thing to me about it all is that Kourtney reminds me SO MUCH of her mom … so it was just really special to get to see the bond they share and witness that moment.

There were more tears from Kourtney’s sister and best friend, Karissa, all throughout the day (I just love you girls!!) and then again when Kourtney saw her dad for the first time. Tears from Riley as Kourtney walked down the aisle and tears from everyone as the couple prayed with both sets of parents while taking communion at the ceremony. There was absolutely not a dry eye in the room when Riley’s brother and best man gave the most powerful and heartfelt speech I have ever had the privilege of hearing at a wedding. The love and support Riley and Kourtney have from their friends and family is something so special and something that I have no doubt they are beyond measure grateful for.

Riley and Kourtney — we just love you two so much! THANK YOU for allowing us to be a part of such a life-changing day in both of your lives. Our hope and prayer for you is that you would never lose your playfulness, your tenderness, your intimate friendship and your respect for one another. And that God would use your relationship to bring SO much love into the lives of those around you. Now enjoy some of our favorites from your day!!!!!
