Devil’s Lake is one of our favorite spots in Wisconsin. And we are so lucky that we live so close! There are tons of gorgeous hiking trails and incredible views all year long. Any chance that we get to shoot here, we are just thrilled! Caleb was bouncing off the seats as we drove to Adam and Jenny’s session … I’m pretty sure he told me at least five times the week prior that he was SO EXCITED to go to Devil’s Lake!

As we were pulling in for Adam and Jenny’s session last week, however, we both turned to each other and realized something that I don’t think we had realized until that moment. “We have never been to Devil’s Lake in the FALL!” Oh my goodness — our jaws dropped to the ground! We had been missing out! Everywhere you turned was gorgeous fall color and, specifically because it was an overcast day, the fall color just popped against the sky and reflected so beautifully in the lake below! You will know exactly what I’m talking about as soon as you see these photos!

And then, on top of it all, we have Adam and Jenny. Just such a wonderful pair! We have a lot of fun connections with these two … from some of their best friends being past clients of ours to Jenny vacationing in my hometown when she was growing up (and us being obsessed with the same local ice cream shop!) … and spending time with them felt like catching up with old friends. Adam is HILARIOUS and such a great story teller. Jenny is intentional, kind, extremely thoughtful. She is also really organized and Type A personality so we totally jive on our emailing, too! ; ) They brought their dog Mayzie along for some photos as well and she is just the cutest! I don’t think we could have had a better session.

I’m super excited to share these with you today! The blog is going to be a lot quieter for the next couple of months and I am excited to end the busy season streak with THESE TWO and such an epic post! Adam — you killed it with these photos … and you know exactly what I’m talking about! We made magic happen and I hope you guys love them as much as we do!!!
