This day, at the Paine Art Center, was so good … just SO good and in so many ways! When we met Blake and Elizabeth for the first time last summer for their engagement session, I could not WAIT for their wedding day. Getting to know these two has been one of the greatest joys of this season (now add that we also got to meet their incredible families and friends on their wedding day and the feeling is just amplified!). Blake and Elizabeth are committed to each other and to their marriage in a way that is truly inspiring. It is a JOY and an honor to cheer them on in this beautiful commitment! I’m so happy they are finally husband and wife : )
We started the day at Elizabeth’s brother’s house where the girls got ready! The house is a historic old home that her brother and his wife have slowly and intentionally filled with incredible antiques … and let’s just say, I was in HEAVEN! It was so beautiful. It was actually pretty amazing how all day long — from her brother’s house to The Paine Art Center & Gardens to the Howard Building — I kept thinking how Elizabeth’s timeless bridal look perfectly matched each location!!
Blake and Elizabeth shared their first look on the patio of the Mansion at The Paine Art Center and their joy when seeing each other was truly palpable. It was really fun because one of Elizabeth’s brothers (I’ll just tell you now, she has SIX!!!) was the videographer and so all the moments shared with them felt extra special because he was often there too! Blake and Elizabeth have shared with us that family is the MOST important thing to them and their day made this very obvious : ) From what I already shared with you, to their bridal party members, flower girls and ring bearers, nephew and niece doing the readings and the wedding and the prayer at the reception, everything involved family : ) After Elizabeth and Blake move back from Hawaii (where they will be for the next nine weeks for one of Blake’s physical therapy rotations!!! I mean – WHAT!?!), they are going to live within a few minutes drive of three of her brothers and their families. I just love it!
After their heartfelt ceremony at The Paine, everyone headed to the newly renovated and historic Howard building in downtown Oshkosh for one heck of a celebration!! I don’t think there was even one MINUTE where the dance floor wasn’t PACKED with guests … and those groomsmen, my gosh do they love to dance! It was a BLAST!!! Guests sent the couple off with a sparkler exit which was the perfect ending to such a magical day!!
